I have noticed more people speaking English as their second language in a non-americanised, non-regional standardised toff form, especially Europeans. Must be a sign of the times that people with broken English are considered lazy theiving foriegners and the closest you sound like a BBC news reader, the easier it is to evade white van man.

yeah my fiancee has a very american twang to her accent, I'm slowly but surely creeping more cockney slang into her lexicon though
