it's not like they are targeting the population, but a guy died a few days ago because he was helping a police officer that was shot. a few months ago someone ratted out a reunion where they were deciding what to do with a rapist. Police sneaked on them and shot 11 dead. 8 were arrested during the whole operation. I think that this plus the fact they have been arresting some big shots lately may have triggered this.
