Hey guys I'v been lurking here for a while and finally decided to post a song.
Soundcloud
I was bored so I made it this morning just wondering what you guys think of the overall production level and if any particular parts stick out as awkward or anything, any feedback would be appreciated... negative, positive, I don't really give a shit. Thanks for your time.

@deconstruct - i like the tune man pretty sick sample stab in the intro and the bass is sick, vibez man
@yoitsfrankd - the basslines have no flow at all, way to choppy since theres a new bassline every 4 seconds. Maybe make it a little less chaotic
@Sonic Arts - song nicotine, need a little bit of a clean up on the kick sounds like theres way to much attack way to clicky imo. overall the mix sounds fine to me
@acrap - i understand you didnt put eq or anything but try to find some punchy samples and more cleaner. The bass is very thin tbh, it needs so warmth in the 100-200 hrtz area and the bass is a little low in volume. The idea is cool but the overall mix needs to be fixed up
now for my tune its a new one thats gonna be on my dubline ep

I've just left 4 or 5 pieces of feedback on people's soundcloud pages from this page and the last.
Here's the track I started a few weeks ago, I'm moving houses at the moment so its not easy trying to mix my tracks at the same time.
Soundcloud
This is the prefinal mix before I master it down and put it up for download, so I'd like to know what you guys think and if you hear anything sounding off in the mix.
thanks guys! keep the tunes coming, I've started following a few of you on soundcloud

Mannyyyyy - you're damn good,sound design and massive programming is extrimely good! I felt that some sounds were "flying" around my head, how the hell did you manage to do this ? cant wait to hear some more ! sory have no chritics for you apart from obvious things )))
Evader - too much proper music ) , not enough synth programming and the beat and the mixing you have to work on everything, Dont give up and you will come up with a good tune one day its just practice you can find all of that information on youtube and the moneyshot thread on this forum. Hope to hear some kick ass tunes in the near future !
Sonic Arts - I liked the tune with long piano intro, good, deep, experimental, dont really have any feedback cause cant tell where you wanna take it, have never heard anything similar )))
Here is my tune for feedback

@ deconstruct love the slightly detuned mallet-ish arpeggio right before the drop, would love to hear it return somewhere after the drop. definitely not too much percussion, great dynamics and placement on 'em.
@perileyes way too much sidechaingin in the early intro. Nice variation in sections with perfect length until next section. nice catchy melodies throughout. favorite part: ca 2:34.

@ evader As i see it dubstep can be this much "proper music" so to speak, just might need more atmoshpere too compensate for bareness. i miss some sparkling high freq percussion in the pre-drop section.
(apply IMHO too all

)
my currrent wip
focused on making pieces of melody answer and comlement eachother

bandersson- could maybe lengthen the intro to make it more dj friendly. reminds of joker a lot man, nice work. melodically complex, technically solid. the snare sounds hella weak though, so maybe layer a few samples, it needs to create that feeling of stark contrast to the kick. nice job otherwise mate
alexeyherman- turn it down bro! major clipping here.nice ideas but the mixdown is poor. everythings too loud, which takes all the impact out of the drop. id strongly advise you to read the moneyshot thread on here, the mixdown ruins what sounds like some really nice sound design and interesting ideas.
evader- nice vibe on the intro, i like the delayed snare, does need turning up a little bit though. o turn up or add a sub here though, definitely lacking in bassweight bro. nice melody as well, simple but effective. nice tune overall keep going.
heres something i knocked up in an hour or so, done a bit of a sketchy self master on it too-

@Cheeky - Very cool stuff! Reminds of a track, just can't remember which one it is.
@Bandersson - Very original, not usually my cup of tea though, but what the hell. Keep it up!
@alexeyhermann - Cool sounds you've put in there! I'd like to hear some reverb on the snare though, I think that'll do it.
So heres my WIP - I haven't added a sub yet, but take a listen:

thanks bandersson and cheeky very helpful feedback.
@alexeyhermann
I like the drums they fit well with the song, but the melody isn't really my thing.
The bassdrop is pretty cool though and has some good ideas.
@bandersson
loved the intro, melody is proper creepy
Only thing I can think of is it would have been nice to hear a mid bass about halfway through following the notes, just to accentuate the bass a little. Definitely not a crazy womp womp bass, just something to bring it out.
Thats a personal thing I do though I guess. Cool track and melodies anyway
@cheeky
intro is insane! its like a heart rate monitor that slowly just gets more mental.
I'm not sure which way your thinking of taking this, but I think it would be cool to hear the same mid bassline you have start to glitch a little and get more random as it progresses.
no tips on the mix for now sorry guys, I'm listening through headphones until I move into my new place.

@sonic arts - that 3rd track hits pretty hard,
@alexeyharmann - I'd think about the song structure in this a little more. Also, the pad in the background gets a little annoying after a while too, I'd try reworking it with a chord progression that sits better in key.
@bandersson - jazzy. totally feeling it. The intro kicks in pretty smoothly too, definitely has some flow to it. I'd suggest throwing a break at some point, maybe solo out that sax with something else and then have it come back and resolve.
@cheeky - a good tip to see if your track is too repetitive is to actually look at the waveform. take a look at soundclouds image of your track; change up the bass line rhythm and the drums so that you dont get stuck in that kind of repetition.
@dubmikey - pretty bouncy drumstep; just not too big a fan of your bass sounds. What plug in are you using? I'd suggest upgrading to something better quality, or if you are using something of quality i'd suggest hounding youtube for preset tutorials. you definitely have the right idea i just think it would sound loads better if you had the right sounds to work with.
this is my WIP. it's going to have vocals so sorry if it sounds like its missing something. ALL crits are welcome, good or bad.

Sorry guys, i didn't read the 3 post rule at the beginning of the thread. Well, here it goes.
@mannyyyy that launch tune hits so hard its simply astounding, i don't really have any criticism towards that it just makes me feel bad about my own producing :p
@Evader i feel like at 2.06 that high reso wobble is kinda awkwardly going down, idk if you want to pitch it down and put reverb on it to make it mix better but to me thats the only thing that sticks out as awkward. and with the wobbles in general maybe boost the lower frequencies a bit and make the wobbles louder? but thats just me. overall solid track man.
@alexeyhemann dude if you were going for thrashy expermental dubstep, you nailed it. i really like the unmastered kinda grimey feel to your track.
@bandersson i really like the beginning, the rest of the song...meh... is just not my kinda music, nice mixing on the synth part might just wanna boost your snare/crash.
@Cheeky interesting intro, good for making in an hour or so but the part at :52 and 1:20 are so solid it takes away from your other wobbles throughout the song. if that was what you were going for i understand but that is just my opinion, maybe switch the main synth around to hit harder?
@dubmikey good shit im sure it will sound sick with a sub cause its pretty solid right now, i think the skreamish parts throughout the song such as at :58 will really hit hard with a nice layered sub
@HaraKiri im sure it will sound sick with vocals and the intros pretty solid without, the mainbassline could use some work, although it is good, some tweaking and dirtying it up will really bring it too the next level, as of right now it seems a bit too digital, idk what to use to get your bassline moving, just try to layer different sounds underneath it and you might be suprised what you find.
okay now for my tune, any feedback here or on soundcloud is appreciated. just wondering if i should run with the idea or not.
Soundcloud
i don't really produce that much but i was bored saturday morning so I just cooked that up in an hour or so, its totally unmastered, the subbass is just kind thrown in there because i only have headphones right now so bear with me

wow riich, on point! loving every second of it can't wait to hear the finished product.
harakiri, perfect! I would drop this :]
Evader - this is honestly one the better remixes I've heard of this song, make sure to post the final product man
Now, I'm very new to the production scene and I don't have much time to work on anything other then well; work>.> but yesterday I had the whole day to myself and this is what came out of it, I think it's a good "sketch" of the track. The beginning is sloppy, but bare with it it gets better(atleast I think so aha)
and sorry for not giving actual advice on your guy's tracks, I would if I could but you guys all are way past my level lol
anyways, here's my wip

@ resik21: The drums could use a lot more processing; do a bit of layering, some EQing and compression, etc. Try making a couple more bass patches instead of just automating the LFO on one, it'll vary it up a little
@Riich: I like the part where the drums speed up! The snare doesn't sound like it stands out very well to me though. Maybe try EQing the basses a little so the snare can punch through a little more
@HaraKiri: I'm not a big fan of the little vocal snippet that keeps repeating, but that's just me. The kick seems a little weak to me, maybe find a better sample or do a bit of layering
Here's my WIP. I've never done a classic style dubstep tune like this so I honestly have no idea what I'm doing

If you have monitors with big woofers your feedback would be especially appreciated because I can hardly hear the sub on my tiny Rokit 5's

Hey, I'll be leaving feedback over the next couple of days. I understand I need to leave 3 at least, but for now I'm going to bed and figured I'd post this real quick.
Thanks!
@ Riich - Intro melody was nice. The drops sounds are good, wide sounding. The one thats used the most isn't very unique. Just sounds like a distorted lead. Also it's just me and my opinion but I don't like how it goes four on the floor. But some people probably like that, and if every single tune was steppy that might get boring. Anyways, not bad. Esp. the intro. That was my favorite part.
@ Mannyyyyy - Nice wide sound design! I like the rides and crashes too, I don't have any ride samples right now and thats a weak point that I have. Drums sound so punchy and awesome. My advice is to keep making songs, and just go with the flow. Good job.
@ Evader - What a great intro. But not sure about the percussion. Its weak sorta. I understand not everything needs to be punchy tho, so maybe disregard that. I liked it alot when the wobs came in. Real chill. This is definitely above a lot of the average stuff cranked out all over the world.

@resik21
Not bad man, pretty unique sound you got there. Maybe it could use a bit more melody or something, but that's just me. The Wobble is pretty nice, tho it does get repetative after a while. So you might want to make the sound a bit more dynamic, or use a diffrent preset.
@Sine69
Love the intro man. has a very moody atmosphere to it. Diggin the kick and snare as well. Very sharp and bouncy. Im curious how this will work out =). Looks like you have some possibilities to keep it laid back.
@eldoogle
Diggin the metalic sound of your synth's, but your drums really need work. They sound kinda cheap. Try adding some reverb, layering the snare, and try making the hi-hats more dynamic. You could use autopanning, or LFO on the main volume.
Well here's another snippit I'm working on. Just gotta keep more than one option open. The previous attempt was not what I was looking for, so I decided to go for a more epic, storytelling sound. let me know what you guys think =).

@basebass pretty sick build up like the voices (are those astronaughts?) sick drop if any thing make the mid bass more present. big ups
@eldoogle the build up is good but boring the synth is just plain. the drop is also boring to me sounds the same as the build up the only way i can tell its a drop is by the wave format. the second drop is just lame
@sine69 i can dig this! nice its kinda like ambient calm relaxing music nothin else to say
this is my first attempt at making hard style i really think it could go some where
