Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@ mannyyyyy - decent track man lovin the vocals and drill sounds, only thing id say is there may be a bit too much compression in some places so its just really the mixdown that needs looked at.
@ evader - really nice track here well produced! Id just look at the levels n turn the intro snare up a little bit so it makes it roll better, id also maybe turn the piano turn slightly so it sits more into the track rather than standing out. Also im not hearing much low end so you cud turn the subs up a bit, but you can do that while mastering anyway.
@ cheeky - Pretty decent for an hours work lol, are you using reason? Only ask cause i made a similar sounding bass you have in the breakdowns. Liking the main bass though that has potential, at the moment it sounds quite thin, personally, to try and thicken it up, i would duplicate the whole bass track but take out all the highs and boost up the ends, this is a good trick to really bring out the low side! Hope it works for ya, btw where did you get the samples for your aloee black remix ??
This is my latest WIP: Sizeable - Nasty Nick...enjoy

nah bro fl 8, with albino and I dont resample either
yeah thats quite an issue for me as well, im really working on thickening the sound up, ill try what youv suggested pal. The aloe blacc remix is a bootleg, Iv just chopped parts out of the tune and eqed and filtered them. your tune is fecking heavy btw mate, keep going with that one

@deconstruct i like it. definitely not too much percussion. maybe change that chord, it just sounds a bit 'cheap'. nice idea. definitely wanna hear the finished version
@Cheeky sounds like you've sampled that Xbox live sign in sound. i quite like it but i think theres something missing. feels a bit empty in my opinion. love the aloe blacc remix though. nice rhythm
JLproductions loving the vibe on through the portal. bit more sub wouldn't go a miss though. love the industrial sounds. nice work.

Need suggestions for the drop
Also I want to get rid of the texture close to the beginning that make it sound like something from "My little pony"
Any Ideas?

@JLproductions. Reviewing while I listen. Starts out nicely, think the kick needs a layer. Very James Blake. Nice Build, nice reverb and atmosphere on the snare, like the percs and various other stuff you've got going. Keeping me interested. Lovely manipulation on the synth with the slow downs/reverses. Nice wob. Toms seem cheap to me..? Think you could use a different sample there. Hits harder than a motherfucker though! Great groove!
@ninthy Reviewing while I listen. Superb atmosphere in the intro. Lovely use of reverb. WHAT THE FUCK, THAT IS SLIME. I feel like the kick needs some layering/volume. Meh, not long enough, I need more! I think a female vocal (perhaps chopped in some way). Needs some variation, but I love what you've got so far. What synth you using for your lead bline? Massive?
@Standby your tune's been taken down?
@Rejinx The Gater is way too cheesy for my tastes. The Amen Break (?) needs some major eqing. Far too muddy. I like the layered hits ontop, it shows promise. All you need now is to drop it HARD and get the synths you've used in the build in some way. Levels need sorting, but keen to see final thing.
Here's my wip, I feel like it could be nearly done. Inspired as usual by all ya'll. Thanks in advance for the feedback guys

hey thanks for all the help everyone. working on it along with some other stuff. will post up the latest version when i do my next feedback.
Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@JTL - yea mate feelin the the drop bongos are nice, needs more sub tho... that mid bass that comes in seems a bit loud maybe take some of the lower frequencies out and add more sub!
@Rejinx - Suck out! you didn't give anyone else feedback!
@Standby - you know what i think of that 1 already! big tune!
@Ninthy4 - not really my kinda ting but well produced as always from you mate cant notice anything wrong with the mix either, nice job
@Sine69 - liking that so far, think the mids could do with being a slight bit higher in the mix, also snare could do with a little more top end i reckon, some bongos or similar type percussion would sound cool in there... just my opinion, but nice track man!
Very rough idea at the moment, gonna add a pad or something to fill out the higher mids but yea:

Didn't know feedback was a requirement, I'm new to music so I didn't figure I was in any position to judge, things like "I like it" are useless comments, sorry.
I didn't gate anything on my track, not sure what was being referred to by "gater."
When I get home I will do my best to critique some of these I guess, sorry about that, thanks for the feedback JTL

@Wizeguy:
I really like that monkey
if i were you i would have extended the sample a bit maybe, instead of having the volume just fade out, an idea i have is to put a lp filter over it, have it fade out then wind back up, kinda like a V for the automation.. just an idea! liking the jungle feel of it a lot
@jtl: really liking this!, one thing i'd do is try to make the transitions near the beginning (:35 and 1:04) a bit more releasing? not sure how to describe it, but it feels stron coming in, but not as strong exiting. something as simple as a kick of stab/ hit could liven up the transitions imo.
@skyhigh Nice!!! that bass is really forceful and well textured
,only suggestion is maby change your hui hat samples or lengthen their notes to make them a bit fuller, keep it up!

Haha forgot to post mine.. here it is:

its an extremely rough first attempt at creating a heavier kind of dubstep, looking at the style of zomboy's organ donor and helicopter showdown's the terror. It'd be appreciated if someone could give me a few pointers and what i should add/ take out. Thanks in advance!!!

@eldoogle the build up is good but boring the synth is just plain. the drop is also boring to me sounds the same as the build up the only way i can tell its a drop is by the wave format. the second drop is just lame![]()
@sine69 i can dig this! nice its kinda like ambient calm relaxing music nothin else to say![]()
this is my first attempt at making hard style i really think it could go some where![]()
