don't know what to say, i listened to the whole thing and nothing jumped out at me.
Definitely interesting enough, feels inspired by earlier dubs. Keep on it mate!

here's a track i've been playing around with - just to get the hang of it, but i have some questions

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2264334/Halcyon%20Preview.wav

1) basic feedback please? what's wrong? what's (kinda) good?
2) how do i give the drop more 'oomph' if you know what i mean?
3) my drums sound kinda flat .. any tips how to beef them up?

i have the general feeling that something (or more things) are missing in this preview ...

thanks in advance
The drum samples are pretty thin, either layer them all, or compress them (don't squeeze it down too hard) , or distort them, those will all work to Fatten them up
Although i do like the big pre-drop snares (sound like they are right out of a certain new Nero track, haha ;) )
Big reverbed kicks or Noise swishes down seem to help to Oomph up a drop for me most of the time.
Just keep spending time on it, the longer you work on it the better it will get.
Your bass sounds could use about 3% more evil too. Load up a Guitar Rig instance if you got it, find a good metal amp, drop the release and reverb down almost minimum. That's what i would do to your bassline at this point. Either guitar rig or just use a really nice Distort or Redux or Bitcrusher

Still waiting on feedback for Dubcore Deathstep

Dunno what to think really, i don't think it's bad, but im not liking it personally. It's like metal with a dubstep drum and a synth... mixing could use some work, the guitar is abit too loud. maybe tighten up your bass abit aswell, it sounds distant.

Sick track so far, definitely a good start. Give the main Arp a little less prominence, or maybe move a filter around on it. Gets a little bland during the middle parts.
Beyond that, it was alright. Don't forget what i said about hi-hats! As low in the mix as you can hear them is perfect.

Yeah, it's still in a very early stage. This is a draft after about 3 hours work. Still have to record the VoX and rerecord the bass. Besides that, i'll probably take out the cheesy all over the place drums before the metal drop. I'm posting in the WIP thread, so there's gonna be lots of mixing and shit left, obviously. The screams will definitely fill it out when its done

@joemakin i was quite liking this but only until it dropped, maybe thats your style but it seems everyone is just trying to make bass as mechanical and 'dirty' wobwob as possible, and it didnt really fit the rest of the track, just my opinion though! the vocal was real nice though.

updated version of my track, added some more percussion and synths, nice laid back vibe with some vocal chops, needs mixing still though, any feedback appreciated!

Still working on this, just some ideas floating around, no mixing or any real arrangement as of yet.

Will drop feedback when I wake up, shattered.

@kontingobeats: Lovin this one. Love the overall vibe and feel of the beat, it all melds real well together. The solo synth line is extremely chill. I think the only think that could make it better (and this is personal preference) is the last chord in the arpeggio/bass chord progression. I'd love to hear this exact same tune and mix with the last chord going straight down to the octave below the first chord. That's just how I hear it going.

Something I started and haven't come back to in a while, but now I wanna finish it up. Anything that I could do to make it better, thanks.

Hi I am new to this whole dubstep game but I wanted to give it a try. Here is a track I am currently working on, very messy mo real organization yet but I would like to have feedback on like the sounds I am using, drum pattern maybe or anything else someone may have to say!

Also if you have any suggestions on the "layout" of the song please let me know!

Finally here is the track:

This is a great start but change it up after the first half, its basically the same thing over and over.. Throw a nice bassline in that hoe! Process that sweet vocal pad you have in there, some more automation on that would do wonders.

Soundcloud
As for this... I don't even know if this is worth finishing... Let me know whats attracts you to this, if anything!
Thanks brothas!

@nicosirone: Nice start so far, loving the pad, nice vibes

@Astral: great drum arrangement, just before the first drop is really good. I'd give that a second listen.

very rough track here, needs a lot of work, but:
