One extreme to end another. Would get the problem sorted out real quick, love to see the fuckers cry when theyre on the wrong end of a baton gun

id have thought that would of made things worse.

What do we do? I'm not taking sides here, and whichever way you lean politically, we aren't going to solve any of the deeper issues to this overnight, so how do we stop them now? Shit is getting too hectic.

The children's hospital has been attacked in Birmingham. Fuck poverty. Fuck oppression. That is entirely inexcusable. Left ring, right wing, there is no way this can be defended.

the worst thing a country can do is have to call in their armed forces against their own people

i think it'd be a terrible thing if it happened but it looks like thats where it's headed. If it continues to escalate tomorrow I'm not sure what other option you all have. Your police force seems to be spread beyond thin.

They were showing the streets on aljazeera, rioters outnumbered cops about 20 to 1 cops doing fuck all to stop it.

im not trying to offer any solutions here, thats what the government are for. but they aint providing any!
i wouldnt know what to do to be honest.
but id have thought water cannons would be used well before military action.
but they are still indiscriminate, lots of potentially innocent people could get hurt.
pressure cooker of a situation...

COBRA was around before Blair. It just means cabinet office briefing room A.

One of my best friends in high school had a brother killed by a rubber bullet in the katrina looting. Here's hoping shit just dies down naturally tomorrow. Rubber Bullets and water just gonna inflame people and cause them to act dumber

Yeah I know man, not expecting suggestions, just saying, I can't think of a solution. They've got to be stopped though man. Like I said, smashing up a children's hospital is too far. Set curfews, get the word out, radio, internet, tv, whatever, any mans in certain areas after the curfew are gonna get wet. I don't know. Work in Aston as well, in a building chock full of computers. Be getting some speed on the way to work tomorrow!

I'm guessing you guys will get a curfew and told if you're even out past 7pm or 8pm you're going to jail until this shit settles down. Standard multi-day riot response.

Only reason I gather your country is close to bringing in the army is the damage done to the city. Your police aren't numbered enough to monitor the entirety of greater london they seemingly can only respond.

Why do i sound like one of these daily mail readers? Like i said, one extreme for another. Shit keeps on going the way it is then something has to be done doesnt it? Bringing in the army doesnt mean that people will get killed, just means more people on the ground that know what thwy are doing.

Shitty. Yeah, I'm guessing that is why they aren't getting too heavy with them- end up killing a kid with a rubber bullet and stuff will go really mental.

Can't see then ever getting the army out- there would be a change in government before people allow that, people don't even like specialist police having guns (how all this started in the first place).
