Think it's called Turducken, name sounds a bit grim but it looks bare tastyJohnlenham wrote:Anyone ever had that 3xBird meal? sure it has a proper name but its like a duck inside a turkey inside a chicken or something with some added bacon/pork for good measure. Thats abit nuts and "wasteful" for a meal.

Re: Thoughts on Vegetarians/vegans
i think it's tarded how people gotta be meat eaters or vegetarians and the meat eaters overdo the meat every day and the vegetarians deprive themselves of even occasional indulgences.
quit being so this or that. be healthier and more aware.

Re: Thoughts on Vegetarians/vegans
I actually went to a dinner party at my vegan friend's house once and all the food was genuinely really tasty but I still reckon it could have been improved with a little bit of cooked flesh

Christmas without turkey, pork or gravy (that has some sort of meat in it right?) sounds awful

depends if the animal had already died.
i dont think i could bring myself to killing an animal.
im not even a vego, and id struggle to kill an animal with just a rock or something.... if i had a rifle handle it might be a different story.

judging by your posts in this thread you seem unable to grasp why anyone wouldn't want to eat meat.

Re: Thoughts on Vegetarians/vegans
Zambezi, your arguments are a bunch of bollocks - they are the most stereotypical shit veggies get from meat eaters. I'm not sure if to laugh or cry about your concern about farm animals dying out if people wouldn't eat meat. What would you choose - not be born at all or live a short life of torture and then be killed anyway?
As for the amount of animals killed for pet food vs. your meat consumption - there is a wide range of veggie pet food available, and some people choose to use that, so it's rather generalising again. (whether it is 'right' to feed your dog or cat veggie food, that's another story, there is such a possibility though)
I'm a bit torn when it comes to pets. They too suffer from people's mistreatment and stupidity, be it incompetent breeding, treating them as toys or fashion items, schooling to be violent etc. As a result many end up on the street or in shelters. If I was to have a pet again, I think I'd adopt rather then buy one.
As for cats, I don't think they kill 'just for fun'. It might look like that to us, but I'd think that it has something to do with them being domesticated and fed yet still acting on their predator instincts. I read that bringing dead prey to the owners is same as bringing it to the kittens, they want to teach us how to do it! There are apparently a few theories on playing with half dead prey, one of them being that the domesticated cat gets to hunt so rarely they want to 'cherish the moment'
As I said before, I'm vegan. Yet I do not preach. Actually, my boyfriend eats meat. I'd rather prepare nice veggie food for both of us to enjoy, than rinse his head about odd sausage. And he seems to like the stuff I make, which automatically makes our household's meat consumption lower. I'm quite happy with that.

In theory, yes. In practice might be a bit more tricky...Nevalo wrote: would any of the vegetarians/vegans here eat meat in a life/death situation?
And hunting... I do have a massive problem with guns. If you'd rather catch it yourself, at least put up a fair fight

that's impossible though isn't it, unless we had exactly the same physiological make up as the thing we were hunting, also nature itself is the least fair thing ever.ch3 wrote:If you'd rather catch it yourself, at least put up a fair fight
