So you get what I mean by punchy, but not with these two?

I'd say Skrillex has good production, whether you like his music or not. Always clean, punchy and system-translatable.
yes, exactly, let's use entirely vague, subjective, and meaningless terms to describe it
Music is a very vague and subjective thing to discuss. How can you not use like language to describe it? This is not a debate about the technicals of the tune is it, otherwise it would be in the Production subforum.

what
Meaning you don't need to have massif bass bins to appreciate it.
Skrillex is aware that 95% of his fan base will not be hearing his stuff on a Funktion 1, so he adjusts accordingly. He wants the laptop gang, mobile phone gang, iPod headphone gang, car subwoofer gang, all to get something out of the tune.
Only the select few audiophiles with money and people who go to events truly understand what Dubstep/Future Garage/Etc is about. For someone like Skrillex who is out to appeal to a broad market, having the core element of his tune below 100hz is not going to be an option, hence the emphasis on the midrange.
My personal opinion on this EP is that it's alright, atleast it doesn't raise my blood pressure as much as it seems to affect a lot of you lot.
