I think this might've been my favourite Glastonbury ever. Certainly my favourite for 5 years or so (2007 was disgusting, but it was so memorable it deserves bonus points) and the best 'dry' one since the Superfence went up.

Saw some bands obviously, but as always the spirit of the festival is the main attraction. I got my back sorted out in the Healing Fields after feeling like an old man needing a hip replacment on Thursday morning, Viv got melted into a lump of contentment by a Reiki Master, we blazed with impunity everywhere we stopped (perhaps my inbuilt security scanner is getting better, but I didn't once feel the need to wait/hide - didn't even bother pre-rolling this year), we danced with trannies, sang along to Sympathy For The Devil in the People's Frontroom and met so many beautiful people at every turn. My friend who usually manages to pretty much break up with his girl every Glastonbury even had a great time with her... it was slightly odd having their 4 year old join our campsite for the Saturday (no, Oliver, that popping candy's not for kids!), but it just goes to show how many different ways Glastonbury can be enjoyed. V was in tears leaving the site and it was only partially because of the weight of her backpack.

We spent some great times with the Ninjas present - my phone was utter shite for the weekend, but it was so awesome being able to head to the right stack of almost anywhere interesting to find some friendly faces. Jimmy - I'm so sorry for giving you the run around on Saturday night - it was beautiful to finally catch up and share that (cloudy) sunrise with you over a campfire. I think we saw Ryan more than most as we actually managed to camp together - it was an HONOUR... glad we got to see our last gig with you lot before we left the site. Would've been nice to spend a bit more time with wub under Shrimpy, but I think we were having rather different journeys - I hope you had a great one. It definitely sounded like it...

I've honestly just had the best two weeks of my entire life. Some of you were responsible for quite a lot of that. Thanks!

Yeah my mind would've been on answering machine for a lot of the time during my Voyage of discovery, probably for the best

I really enjoyed getting the odd text update from your adventure - my phone kept disappearing into a world of its own for hours on end and I'd get a splurge of about 20 messages telling me what all my friends had been doing for the last half-day. (Usually a flood of "We're by the right stack!" tbh )

It was sick having some other people to run into (literally haha). Having people that are properly into the music (Azelia/Tyler ) made it so much better. Pretty sure I devolved into chatting pure bollocks at V on the Wednesday, I actually cant remember a part of it due to the sheer amount of weed and cider I consumed..
I took Kate to Youngsta and she said she really liked it, though at one point she turned to me during a tune and said "it sounds like rainbows" and she had done nothing but drink.. lol.

No idea why the right stack thing has transfered out to festivals but it works so well!
