How do you pronounce DAW? I cringe every time I hear someone say "duh" but I'm watching NAMM videos right now and a lot of industry people actually say it like that.

I would have said like 'Paw' but with a 'D'.
I've never actually heard anyone saying it out loud (apart from maybe "Daw! Isn't he/she/it/that cute.") and I don't know what one is.

This is what makes most sense to me. Surely it's an abbreviation and not an actual word?Pedro Sánchez wrote:'Dee Aye Doubleyou'

Re: Post Your Random Thoughts Thread!
That is true, although "PIN number" is actually a bit redundant since that would mean "Personal Identification Number number."
But yeah I guess it really just comes down personal preference, just imo pronouncing it like paw (or wow) sounds somewhat stupid
Off I go to the unpopular opinions thread, judging from the responses here

Yeah, I guess in those cases the abbreviated words have been long forgotten (or never publicly known) and the abbreviations have become words themselves. It's quite interesting actually
Edit: I found this on the subject

Has anyone got a Roomba or seen one in action in, like, a real house?
Kind of tempted as a way to keep dust levels down daily (and hence, my sinuses clearer), but it's a fair bit of wedge if it really is just a toy.
I know, I know... I sh/could just vacuum every day, but that happens far too rarely no matter how much I try to motivate myself. I fucking hate vacuuming.

Re: Post Your Random Thoughts Thread!
I read a large review of "robot" vacuumers a few years ago and the conclusion was (iirc) basically that they could assist in keeping your house a bit cleaner on a day-to-day basis but couldn't be used as any kind of substitute for actual vacuuming. They have a hard time cleaning anything but large plain surfaces (corners are the fear of every robot).
I don't know how things have developed since then though, and if you just want to use it as a way to keep dust levels down I could see it as a viable (albeit expensive) option.
