@jacob 157
I really liked the modulation on that bass it sounded really heavy man and sinister ha... id say maybe edit the equing on the drum rack, unnless thats the sound you were goin for.

@tehef9
sounds pretty intense man, id say add some bass for sure its got some really high frequencies... on my speakers at least..

Heres my WIP i updated it.. worked on my arrangements, and beefend the bass kinda..
like i said im still kinda new :p

@nnny I really like the atmosphere of this, I think a little bit of variation in the volume or velocity of the hats would give it something that it's lacking.

@sniperDubb I like the vocal samples and the intro, the rising midrange bass synth isn't really my style, so the song looses me as that part continues to repeat.

@Cappa I like the build up into the drop and I'm starting to like the sound and tone of the wobble after it, but it seems a little hot in the mix

@wwwmmo Really dig this! like the forward/reverse parts of the little tinkly melody. good vox too.

@ComfiStile I like how the beat feels a little more ahead of the beat, forward. It's a nice change of pace, I like the synth with the volume build up around 1:30

@teknian: your tune "wipe out" turned out to be a fucking banger, love it :)
@ts engage: sub sounds alright to me! the snare seems a little weak, could be a little bit louder
@nnny: nice vibe, nice pad sounds, but you should try to bring the drums more through the mix, the kick is barely noticeable!
@Noisestorm: really not much to say but, nice tune!

what are your thoughts on my latest WIP?
any ideas that would make it sound better?

@Dubbyconqueror: Very dubby, good vibes! I notice it starts to sound a bit too dissonant toward the end, probably just an issue with the notes your using. Maybe change the melodies to something that fits better, and try working on your EQing to stop any clashing. The mix isn't bad, I might make the sub a bit louder though

@Jrisreal: that pad sounds amazing, really good! Only critique I have is I might make the drums a little more sparse, it being an ambient track and all. That would be awesome if you added some glitches and tricked out samples over the top like a Shpongle-style track

@Sniperdubb: I like you you included both vibes and filth. It seems "brickwalled", just based on the waveform. Maybe add a bit more dynamics? Real unique though, nice job!

@Objekz: First thing I noticed was it gets quieter after the drop, which makes it really anti-climactic. Maybe raise the volume of your wobbles? Nice tune though, fairly simple but it works. I would probably add a bit more variation in the samples, it sounds kind of cheesy to use the same vocal sample more than once IMO

Track in my sig, I just uploaded a newer version a few minutes ago.

Sound design is awesome, but mixdown needs a LOT of work. Clipping all over the place, wobbles are way too loud, snare barely comes through the mix. Read the moneyshot thread and also EQ some notches out of your wobbles where the snare peaks. Crazy drop though, good job with that. I'd say it's definitely worth continuing.

Also if you want more feedback then give more feedback yourself, don't just ask for it...

Cheers for the feedback.

@acrap - sounding cool man id just look at lowering your levels on everything besides the drums and work on making the snare thicker

@Noisestorm yeah man that shit is HOT! Digging it so much such a large clean sound I love music with quality. Reminds me of some Bassnectar-esque stuff, very well done!

Thanks for the feedback guys. @Jacob I'll try that, this is my first ambient-ish dubstep track, so I'm taking any and all suggestions.

an @kingGhost, theres sub in there, maybe I should bring it up?
...in my opinion

@ Sniperdubb:
Nice man, nice! Really liking that banshee screech sound, and the bass under it just gives me shivers. Seriously nice work! Only thing I'd suggest is maybe compressing and upping the volume of the snare just a little bit, I found it a little lacking at parts. Other than that its really good! Keep it up! :)

@ skyhigh:
Pretty cool idea, I think it needs sub bass though: filter out the lower ends of the main bass and replace it with a sub, should get it a lot fuller sounding :D.

@ dataloss:
Sick man, I think it need a bit more sub on on this as well, beef it up even more, :P also try making a bit of excitement before the drop, such as a note being pitch bent or literally anything that cretes some tension, so they are more blown away from tha drop :) Keep it up!!!

Mine:
Once again I'm trying out new kinds of dubstep :) I am going to work on the snare a bit and the mixdown, as it is clipping a little bit in a few places. Also the little spur or whatever you want to call it before the drop is nothing, I am going to add in a proper into. Based on what I have so far, what are your opinions? Thanks! :D

@ Cappa : Ok, so drums needs more compression & eqing, the main wobble is like, out of the rythm. The idea is here but you have to work it hard now

@Skyhigh : 8bit arps a cool, but thats not enough for intro, work the build up some more, make it interesting ! Your sub is too light I can't hear it decently. I like the way you use white noise anyway !

@Hfr : Thats deep and track, I like it. You have to work a bit more your intro and build it up. Nice reverb on your snare. Main synth is pretty good tho.

@Dataloss : Intro is a bit boring, the drop is quiet and the whole track need more punch. Your sub is too shy, add some variation to your synth too. Keep it up the idea is good.

Here's mine now, and this time, it's a chill tune ! Soundcloud

Edit : Ho, and BTW, if you have time to give a short feedback on the track on my sig, thx ! :)
Sorry for my crappy english, not my main language ;)

@darj: I really enjoyed this, nice work all around. the snare really stood out to me, it sounds almost woody? haha I like it .

@skyhigh: I like what you've got going on. two things though: i'm not feelin much of any sub and I had to go back a few times to figure out where the drop was supposed to be. work on the sub and buildup and you've got yourself a nice little tune

@Jacob: snare could use some eqing. i like the main synth on the drop, that and the melody is groovin

since I uploaded this i've already turned down the high pitched synth, in case you think it's too much. but fire anything else at me! i'm thinking about adding another synth to break from the high pitched one and complement it a little bit, whatya think?

@Darj: nice tune, really like the vocals! Drop comes smooth and hits quite hard :)
@mikey: the drop definitly needs more power to it. maybe automate the volume on some of the things in the build up! also you could try to add some distortion to the synth when it drops!

@mikey: def tune needs more action, sound empty, hard for me to tell something more.
@skyhigh:Liking the idea man, wuold love to hear more processed drums and some more fx and atmos maybe, and yeah,i had not very nice feeling on the drop, when bass started, maybe its not in tune haha ? :6:
@Noisestorm: awesome, not much to say, keep up the good work
@Darj : Maybe try making more interesting chords ? sounds nice thought, nice drop, tune got sube, good one

Thanks for responding. What do you mean about the snare? It peaks a bit lower than usual, is that what you're talking about? I actually spent quite a bit of time tweaking it.

I can't listen to yours right now but I will later today.

it sounds like it's missing some high end, kind of flatish. theres not really a crack to it

everything's a little distorted already but i have a synth sittin around 100-200hz that i'll try to bring more to the front, maybe that'll do it. thanks!
