bro when it was introing....i thought yayeh this is guna b mean. then ya changed up the melody & i thought..WTF did he do that for????? then a mid bass??? i would delay reverb that first melody & use it hard. reverb on ya snare, distort ya kick, change that bassline into something more funky & high cut the shit out of it. my guess is your using reason...right?

Hey Neumann!
Thanks for checking it out, man!
Yeah, there's definitely not a lot of Drumstep around. There's an occasional tune here and there. I like the sound of it, and it's fun producing at 175 bpm, but i could never really get into producing jungle... and since i've been producing a lot dubstep lately, i find that half stepping at jungle tempo makes everything better and more relevant to what i've been making.
I'll link u some track names. or better yet, let's start a topic in the general talk section :D

Hi, been working on a new track. It started out as a filthy banger, but in the end it went in a total different direction :) , more melodic, a bit chiller type of dub.

I'm gonna add an extra few bars of melody to make it less repetitive. But i would like to recieve some feedback on the sounds, mixdown, general idea etc. up till now.

Heres a bit ive been working on,fixed the snare a bit and cleaned a few things up,shall leave further feedback to anyone who reviews.safe, its called self contain.

better. but the rythm is still missing that something.... it has simply no groove. in the end it get's a bit better with the rythm.
the snare/clap (layered?) still doesn't sound nice. what about a bit reverb, eqing?

missing also something in the higher frequencies.... maybe a good thing would be listening to some mixes, really get deep into it. but don't copy.

keep on

Trying my hand at electro. Know it's not dubstep (obviously) but would appreciate your feedback as there's a lot of clever people on here. Any advice for making it sound fuller / more interesting?

i'm not liking the snare at ALL, its really ruining the mix. Eq'ing it should do the trick though. Also needs much more structure, really.

just started with this tune today :D

it is bit empty. but i think if u add some effects or some reverb then it will sound nice( just my opinion ).

Yeah thats nice chillout/triphop/dubstep :D. idk exactly, but i would chance the snare and but some high freq. into the game too (with some reverb).
otherwise it has great potential and needs to be masterd well .

codezero-- not too bad ay bro, its way too clean to put that bitchushed mid bass thing in ay, maybe dampen it abit or that main violiny thing that ur using could be highpassed hard & abit of resonance added to it too add abit more dirt factor. tweak it hard & make em work together better ay. nice drums tho.

imperial-- that alarm sound killed ya track ryt at the start, maybe ya should steer away from panning effect untill ya have the sound sorted, its makin me dizy ay. work on ya mixdown. everything is standing out too much in the track.. but ay.. good effort.
i have to say that i was expecting alot more by the track name...shapeshifta, have you listened to shapeshifter?? def my favovite d&b group. kiwi rep hard!!

redjuan-- nice intro, but the gain structure is abit too full on, with that kinda ambient track...turning shit down alot will do wonders, & its way too muddy, eq that bass. i would highpass it all the way to 75k or less. the elements are there, just turn everything down & sort it

any1 hu comment on ma tracks always gets feedback & if ya dont leave feedback to any1 when ya post.. i wont even listen to ya track, just like i say to ya mum, stop trying to just get off, let me get some sucki sucki too!!!hahahhaha

heres 1 i gave life to yesterday. im goin through a stage of mellowasfukness, so here it is...

You got that deep vibe going on there, liking it, like all your stuff! Add some melodies to this stuff, thicken it out and such.

@imperial: i like drumstep but this sounds too 'empty' the panning effect on the bass isn't needed, its better just straight forward. also add lots and lots of more hihats/ghostsnares for that drumstep feel. it sounds too slow

@upstateface: nice idea u got going on! nice intro, the kick could use more beef, maybe layer a deeper kick to it, when it drops i really started liking it,great bass sound (could use a bit more sub, listening on me sennheiserz so it could be that), but i don't get why you let the bass go down in volume each bar, just let it flow out at the same volume. finish it! ;)

@me: Thx for the reviews so far!

more reviews tomorrow
had too much to drink atm
