glad you like the pads they were a bitch to program, I kept accidently deleting the file, I think I had to remake it 4 times in the end...

@Bledbox
Really fucking like that intro man. Real atmospheric. I don't DJ but i know they often prefer drums to easily mix, so that may be the only problem with hardly any drums before the drop. Love how the human sounding voice overlaps slightly on the last snare hit on the drop, brings it all together nicely. I actually quite like the section after the drop, if that's still at 140bpm i'd consider switching it up after the second drop and actually using that.
--
Right so this is some major WIP. The drum sounds are horrible, and nothing's mixed down or even EQ'd ignore all those, i'm looking for feedback more on the intro melody and choice of instrumentation. The drop was also just kinda whacked in there quickly so seems pretty abrupt.
Also really liking the bass tone i've got once it does drop, and i'll obviously be working on making the transition between melodic and 'filth' even though i hate that word. Any tips on the best way to do this? Only one i've done before is grabbing a slice of the bass, low cutting it and then fitting it quietly into the intro.

@marshy
cheers man great feedback
I'm really liking the melody you got going, its really hypnotic and draws you in, and I really like the clicking noise in the background...(not sure what it is)
i like the 'piano' synth and the springyness of it, kind of makes me think of 8bit music
but yeh i think its a good start to a track

This is more of a demo song, just wanna see what people think of it so far. The song is called Inner City Depression, need to give it a good mixdown at some point when I transfer it over from my macbook to my pc. Its currently uploaded to my myspace page so give it a listen and tell me what you think.

Liking it so far, could try putting some reverb on the synths to soften them up a bit. After you do the buildup, maybe have a sample, vocal then do the kick buildup again like in Rusko's Badmood song, could also put in a rise/sweep as well to keep people on the edge of their seats.

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys, I started working on my track again like 2 hours ago and just removed the wobble and started messing more with the whistle.
Here's what I got so far,

Dusty Speakers - Thanks for the feedback man, I really love your intro and outro... I love the feeling, the wobbles not so much, it starts off like its going to fit, maybe try changing up the LFO rate? All in all, I really like it.
Loud Flavor - I like it 1000 times better without the wobble, your bass is amazingg,, The whistle is a cool aspect to that song, don't change it.

Anyways, I suck at song structure, I always try to put too much into it, but rough draft #2

@ baaan, thanks man really appreciate the feedback. I'm going to work harder on this track and also on the mixing like the EQ

and for your track, it's pretty chill, love those wobbly sounds like @ 0:40, keep it up.

@ loud - that sounds much better man, don't always need wobbles to be a banger! It'd be nice to hear the whistle pattern you had after the drop for another 8 bars or so before you switched it up and maybe come back to it again later on in the song, just my opinion..always nice to have some sort of recurring thing
other than that all I can say is find ways to keep it interesting, that's always where I struggle with tunes..but sounding good, much better!

Hi guys, I'll add feedback for everyone else's tracks soon. I was just wondering if I should add a great big dirty wobble in this track in my signature!

Zone Trooper - Got to Get: You need to adjust your mixing levels, the distorted synth that kicks in on the chorus can barely be heard as its drowned out by your main synth - it just sounds very muddy. And the main synth itself needs to be changed as you have the same melody going on every 2 bars for about 4 minutes, variety is the spice of life and all that dub. Same goes for your Inner City Depression piano melody, have a different verse melody or something.
Loud Favour - Liking the tune, nice flute melody especially in the chorus - its good to hear some melodic dub. Reminds me of an older released tune but can't quite but my finger on what it is, old Rusko tune or something - that's a compliment btw
Bann - I agree with LF on the subtle wobble, but maybe make it a db or two higher to make it a lil less subtle? Nice relaxing tune, but are you going be putting any beat on it?
Bullshit - I wouldn't stick a wobble on that (despite being a fan of the ole wobble), sub-bass seems more appropriate. At the moment, it's a bit too basic and your vocal samples drown out the drums too much.
Feedback on the following grimey tune would be much appreciated:

You didn't need to give feedback on Got To Get, finished that last month lol. anyways, thanks for the feedback I have a hard time just getting some melody in the first place so once I find some I feel kinda bad for changing it up, I've fixed a few things up before I transfer it to my PC. I'll go back to it and probably change some of the melody to make it more interesting.
Atom Lady is a good song btw, keep it up.

Really appreciate all of the feedback

and I'll also start returning the favors tonight.
I just added a little bit more to it and also cleaned up some reverb on some parts.
And I think I'm also having some EQ issues but hmmm lol.
