@ spectrum1 : I really like it. The drums are nicely balanced although I think a bit more reverb could give them more 'room?'. I can't say much else! Keep it up!

@ Traxione : It's nice but very noisy. I love noise, but it seems like it has too much highs, hurts my ears, apart from that, it has potential, for sure!

@ naroja : I liked the first half but then I felt it became a little repetetive. It's nice but needs something to keep the listener interested, but that's just my opinion!

This is another track that I have recently completed after many stressful hours! It was so difficult to create all these sounds without it sounding like a complete mess.

Hi Friendz
This's my first post i'm workin on produce some dubstep sounds about 3 months, but i'm dubsteppa 4 2 years
can u give me feedback :)

@Obsidia [Nexus] i like ur start & tune, but ithink ur attacker dubstep tunes high-toned & this causing a boring tune when pitch or rate comes down ur tune, but last step part is so good, because u add a different sound, maybe addin another tune to first & second part will be better :)

@kaiori breathe [Afterglow] nice combination man realy i like it but maybe less track time will be better

Last Trooper - Anima

i tend to listen to these and only seem to highlight anything i don't like, oh well here goes

@sirius - Tune is nice, vocal seems a bit high in the mix and i think the kick is a bit too clicky. some variation on the drums and arrangement and i'd warm to this.
@treasondub - mix down needs some work, snare could be fatter...the levels seem a bit all over the place, does't seem to gel, tweak levels and eq.
@MRP5 - nice work on the remix, that splashy high end (ride) seems to make me want to turn it down though. no other issues from me, for what its worth :-)

crikey i sound like a tnuc today, here's one from me..

@ ObsidiaMusic, not really my style but it sounds to be a pretty big tune all the sounds are spot on and it's all well arranged and written, nice production value too.

@ Last Trooper, a lot of clashes but I get the sense it's somewhat intentional, kinda reminds me of dungeon music on the old Super Nintendo lol.

@ love those chords on the intro, brilliant choice, lovely melodies too, and good sounds all round, really dark and mysterious vibes till it drops,

@ MRP5 to be honest, that doesn't sound like a remix to me so much as it sounds like two completely different song slammed together :S on the plus side, both songs sound very nice lol, I just don't think they fit together that great :/

@ EVERYONE - Sirius' Destiny, check it the fuck out

@ spencertron for me personally the ambient intro is just a bit too long, but that's personal taste, i'm just not a fan of those big ambient builds, when it all drops in it sounds great, really solid production good ideas, nice arrangement, in a way it sounds weird, the to sounds are very different, one's so upbeat the other is well nasty and sick, it's interesting, works in weird kinda way I didn't expect it to, props.

Anyway, new tune.

@Kaiori - Like it, but maybe the bass is hugely overbearing and drowns out the general track?

@Pure Phase - Really interesting. Not so much a huge drop, it's quite awkward but I like it. Very nice all round though!

@Sirius - Pretty much my favourite from you. Absolutely amazing. Not vibing on the dnb too much recently, but this has put everything in order :)

@Nonxero - Not that it makes a difference because it's being released, but the snare is really weird, sounds like it's a tom almost. The bass could do with a massive clear up. The really really lower end just grunts kind of.

@Spectrum - ooooooo Neurofunk! Haven't heard anything like this this in over a year. Really nice. Before the drop, you should add reverb on the snare. Give the track some space before the drop so when it does, everything comes together smoothly!

I vowed to never make House or whatever it is called, double time Dubstep, but this is a fusion between Asian Dubstep and something else.

EDIT: REMOVED MY TRACK. NEEDS A LOT MORE WORK

@ Seizure- cool ideas, not really heard a track like that. That main tabla/conga (idk) hit in the intro maybe a bit overused (maybe just needs some variation, that sample is everywhere)? The electro bass seems so much bigger than anything else in the track, maybe bring that down a bit. Like the progression of it, the piano bugs me though.

@ Kaori- production is great. Bass could be a bit weightier maybe.

@ Pure phase- crunchy, can't really say more than that I'm afraid. Make more of the hats?

@ Soulshyn/Sirius- really love the vocal and processing on it, nice synths, drums do no justice at all to the rest of the track I've got to say. I'm not a dnb fan to be fair, but that rhythm just turns me off a track.

@ MRP5- agree with Kaori really. Cool production on the second part (though the bitcrush/formant sounds don't do much for me) but I think you could get that same momentum with a different (original) intro.

@ Treason- the guitar (and then harpsichord???) is pretty dry, doesn't really sit with the rest. Reverb! Main synth needs some more grit or movement or something. Not digging the pitched up version. Drums sound solid (hats could be more exciting) but overwhelmed by that synth.

@ Tinteeth- this is dark, not what I expected from 'Bass Jungle.' I dig this, the elements are all there but the mix could be a bit tighter. Some real Lo-fi stuff would do this no harm, even whack in some overdrive on whole sections maybe.

@ Last trooper- for me this just hasn't got any flow, you need something to follow and along in the track

@ Obsidia- good production on the drums, but then... ? The melodic part sounds like the romantic ending scene in a disney movie, but it gets interrupted by robots who rape/kill everyone. Sorry.

Any of my tracks here are up for some criticism- http://soundcloud.com/exitblindness

Finally got some time again to come and leave some feedback, some real good stuff going on at the mo, anyway here it goes,

@kaiori breathe - Proper feeling this track man, has a proper wicked mellow groove, lovely use of the percussion, seriosly well written tune. Don't listen too much minimal stuff, but if I found more stuff like this I definately would. production is tight too, no negative comments here, Big Ups!

@ ObsidiaMusic - Intro is sweet! Liking the sample and thats a serious drop, ha! Production is tight man, all seems to sit properly, so nothings fighting for space in the mix. Proper feeling the drop at around 1.50, sounds sick. The piano sounds is wicked too. Thanks for the download off mediafire, will defo be rocking this!

@Last Trooper - Not really my cup of tea, but I do like parts of it, just seem to loose my attention in parts. Good for your first production tho man, felt you had a bit to much reverb overall in the mix, defo a good first attempt.

@treasondub - Nice track man, like you're snare, has a nice snap to it, but seems to get drowned out a bit when the bass comes in on the first drop, maybe work on your eq to try and help it come through a little more when the bass kicks in, track had me proper bobbing my head tho man, is well written, just think that some of your sounds are trying to push others out of the mix a bit and lose some clarity, so just work a bit on the eq and a few of the levels which maybe causing this, other than that, Im feeling it man.

@Sirius - Real nice sub bass on this, sounds lovely. Liking the vocal too, had me proper chilling while listening to this. Maybe some variety in the drums and breaks and a little bit of high end off the top of the vocal (like I think someone else mentioned) but a great use of space in the mix, sounds proper spacious and it all gels together really well, lovely tune!

@spencertron - Proper feeling the reggae vibe, always on the look out for more tunes like this. Production is tight and the drums proper keep your attention, nothing negative to say, Big Tune!

@dj seizure - I agree with what 'Mr Hello' said on this track, pretty much covered what I was going to say.

Hope this helps,

Here's a tune I made ages ago and posted on here, Ive made a few tweaks which people commented on before, so thought I'd finally post it up again and see if I'd sorted the few tweaks out,

Soundcloud

Will leave feedback for people if I didn't get to comment on your stuff and you leave me a comment, thanks!

Skaven - quite feeling this actually loving the funky sysnths and they overlap well, normally people alwyas mess it up and they sound like shit but youve done really well on this :) specially like the breakdown at 55 seconds thats mean maybe vary up the synth in that part sounding tight to me though man :)

siezure - not sure about the bongos but i guess thats a preferance thing, ive never really been into to oriental stuff :P not sure if its my end but maybe the subs abit overpowering? it all starts coming together at 1:35 though, maybe if bring that in abit sooner i reckon it would give it abit more charecter and the snare/clap thing that goes on there is abit too low i reckon needs more of a snap :P sounding good though espicially when the 4x4 stops and the half time drums come back in

kaiori breathe - what can i say..............percusion is class maybe the sub is a little high but once it gets going i mean it all sounds perfect man the wind instruments you have there re just beautiful

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

heres my bit for some reason its always quiter on soundcloud....anythng i can do to louden it up?

Last trooper/ Its mad original ill tell you that.. but not my thing and well under mixed.

Treason/ Some nice ideas, bass synth is a bit basic and the sub wipes the kick out. needs a lot of mixing but the ideas are there. keep at it.

mrp5/ wow nice, im loving the more epic stuff atm. i gotta feeling this aint the polished mix is it :P. you got it up for dl? top work this version is a lil distorted but sounds more like the quality rather than final mix.

sirius/ there is a lil tone on your sub that im not sure about, but the melodies are nice. nice and laid back smooth feel. Nice lil sound fxs and synth in there. Sounds very clean and tidy. no crit im liking this alot.

Spencer tron/ your production is tight man, crisp and crunchy. Your style is original, proper glitchy and gritty. lovin it.

Skaven/ mix is very good. Crisp soudns, would probably open up the bass layer a bit it sounds a lil crushed u get me? the automation on the bassline is pretty good. Melody wise its a little flat for my liking but Narsty for sure.

My new one is called Blindside, its the top one in my sig, enjoy, you will have to visit my SC page to listen to the katy perry remix!

Thanks for the comments dudes!

@Thanks for the comments man, glad you were feeling it, may look at varying up the melody, but was kind of going for a very simple but nasty drop, so will see. Your tune is cool man, feeling thr ryhthm of of it, sounds tight, just wasn't feeling the one higher synth noise (kind of sounds like a wire being scrapped?) just made me judder, bit like when someone scraps their nails on a chalk board, could just be me tho, ha. Anyway production sounds clean, nothing else really to say, props!

@RatRaceProducing - Thanks for the comments aswell man, will have a look at opening out the synth a bit, but with the melody as I said above, was kind of going for a flatter/nasty sound, so quite pleased with that, ha. Checked out your soundcloud, feeling the top two tunes man, they both have a real good flow to them, feeling the rhythm, production sounds spot on as well. Saw you had them up for download, so grabbed a copy of them both, will defo be rocking them, Big Ups!
Just on another note, saw you were from Northampton, if you head down to the subrockerz night tonight, check out my mates Dub Kid and Hybrid in the Dubstep room, think Dub Kid has just finished actually, but think Hybrids on at 11 or 12, anyway, thanks again!

@ninthy4 - Cheers man, glad you feeling it. YES! That tune is FILTY!!! Proper feeling the vocal, and the drop is sick! Nice propuction too man, Big Ups

@ObsidiaMusic
Liking it so far, only thing I can suggest is to make the drums a bit louder, and possibly some more equing? sick track though, big ups
@Last Trooper
This track is trippy as shit, well original. sounds good :) well done

Ill leave some more feedback in a bit :)

Tell me what you think of my new track.. not finished eqing yet, but im happy so far

@Obsidia - Nice dirty tune mate, feeling the mix of the dirty sounds and cinematic parts.

@ Skaven - Really fealing this, got a nice rythem going and the bass on this is sick and the main drop is mean. 320 would be really nice if they are going

@trainrek - The bass just needs a bit of EQ work, really feelin the track though sounds big.

Here is one that I've been working on and off for a few weeks, might do the mixdown again in 2 weeks when I get my mackies but could really do with some feedback on it :)

@ Vcore: liking that lead melody. Really floaty. Some of the sounds in the tune are a little unclear, maybe tidy them up a bit. Also varying the percussion would add something to it, maybe moving from half step to taking away the snares? Overall really nice tune.

@ Trainwrek: productions sounding sweet, not really my style though. Drums pretty heavy! Bit muddy around the low mids, but I think that happens heaps using distorted mid range. Maybe for variation could even cut to just subs for the last section. Ears were a little over the bass by then, but just personal preference.

@ Nithy4: haha the vocal wobbler. For a not serious tune sounds sweet. Heavy ish man.

Here's a new one, on a garagey tip with my good friend Julian Temple on the vocals.

all seems fairly crisp and punchy - not my cup of tea in the slightest though. feels a bit empty, especially in the intro/piano sections. and the vocal sample is both unnecessary and obnoxious.

very strange. not really feeling the constant 1/8ths on the synth bits, gets dull pretty quick. seems a bit lacking in high end, could do with more seperation between the various elements and also theres a few duff notes in there too.
treasondub wrote:I left timed comments on soundcloud tracks instead of on here.

liking the reversed sounding pad at the beginning - drums (particularly the snare) sound pretty cheap, plucked thing needs to go, same deal - sounds super cheap. white noise rise is a bit harsh on the ears too. ugh when the bass/mid thing goes high pitch its not good - seriously piercing. seems empty thoughout too.

overall balance isnt bad though - you just need to work on your sound design/selection
MRP5 wrote:Soundcloud
lovely synth at the beginning - kinda harks back to some old squarepusher - goes a bit cheese on toast with the horrid autotune vocals though (Sorry, pet hate of mine). yeah drop is really good mate - i normally dont like this kinda thing but this really got me bopping my head. rides are a little harsh.

quite a well done dancefloor bit there. good stuff.
