I think the last thing we want is even a hint towards the idea of not going to fwd over...well, anything!!
Rinse/barefiles have done untold amounts for the dubstep scene. But surely fwd has to take the medal when it comes to promoting the scene.

A lot of 'name' producers as noticibly absent in the postings of this thread.
as heads are always kean to use barefiles and dubstep forum for their own promotional purposes.
i may be reading between the lines here but it would seem that any big name artist would risk alot by voicing their oppinions due to the extent of the ammunition empire...
big up scuba for letting his oppinions be known.

Well I doubt I will be going FWD again for a LONG time, its a shame, but im not gonna be a hypocrite on this one. How can I say all this and agree with most things ppl are saying, but then inturn endorse this kind of behaviour. But as as I mentioned before, its not just this, I just find it painfully boring these days. The Wiggle Baron wrote:Woah woah WOAH!!Dusty wrote: FWD night or DMZ anyone? You decide.

I just hope all this doesnt effect the DJ's, coz they are BIG, and I will always support each and everyone of them. But just not at FWD. And for them to ban Deaps is just childish. But whatever, only bigger and better things can come of all of this.
i said my piece.

The 1 thing i'm wondering about is how would rinse make money from hosting these files? its definately good to hear these sets and d/l them but they are not the greatest quality........and i mean the bitrate not the tunes! who would pay for them?
i think they are good for promoting the music and good for people who arent lucky enough to be able to go to good dubstep nights, but stopping someone hosting them...........sounds a bit petty

I'd say its probably more about having the exclusivity of their mixes rather than charging for them. This is a big usp for advertisers, if they're the only person putting out whats proven to be some of the most popular mixes on the web then they can attract more advertisers and in turn start charging more - now I don't know any of that for sure, just a business analysis of what I've read ere.
Doing alot of work in the DnB scene I'm more than used to seeing/hearing about this kinda business going down, but that scene has been established on that level alot longer than dubstep. It doesnt suprise me to see stuff like this happening, but it looks like Ammo could've gone about it in a much more diplomatic way than they have...
