@ anyone listening to the sample in the first tune of this mix, isnt the answer to the conspiracy theory-style question "why do governments borrow money when they have the ability to make it?", that by creating more money they devalue the existing currency in the system and create inflation? (ask zimbabwe, who have now had to abandon their own currency!)

lol @ the random pop-econonmics diversion...

Ironically for the last few months the Bank of England has been doing just that, although the reason they've been able to is that current pressures are deflationary rather than inflationary.

Fantastic Mr Fox started producing 7 years ago at the age of 14, with his music first being picked up in 2006 by Radio 1’s Steve Lamacq.

Regular support of his early leftfield hip-hop productions from Mr Lamacq helped lead to remix work for Maps, Shitdisco, Just Jack, Soweto Kinch, Polar Bear, Fulborn Teversham, Kid Harpoon, Julia Biel, Riz MC, The Carps, Make Model, The Cansecos, Marissa Nadler, Son Lux and most recently Untold & LV.

Following his remix of Untold’s “Yukon” Fantastic Mr Fox decided to up the tempo of his productions and his first two efforts, produced along side Manchester DJ, promoter and producer Rich Reason, were signed to Untold’s Hemlock label.

A second collaborative release with Rich Reason was put out on Black Acre, whilst FMF’s remix of LV-“Don’t Judge” will soon be available on 2nd Drop Records.

Fantastic Mr Fox’s first solo release is also now finished, with the “Sketches EP” due to be released on Black Acre towards the end of 2009.

FANTASTIC MR FOX – Plimsoul, HEMLOCK

Hemlock Recordings pull up some debut release business from Manchester’s Rich Reason in collaboration with Fantastic Mr. Fox. It’s hard to tell who’s doing what here, but the IDM traits of Mr. Fox’s previous releases are easy to pick out, while it’s also clearly apparent what’s on their recent playlists with strong elements of Zomby, TRG and Boxcutter fused into the sum of its parts. The trancing synthline on ‘Bleep Show’ will pick up fans of Ninja Tune’s electrostep and breaks types like Shuttle or those who crave for a fusion of proggy electronica with steppers pattern taken from the latest style. Promising stuff from the pair and worth a check if you like Sukh Knight, Sinden or Rob Sparx.

lol @ the random pop-econonmics diversion...
Respect for the economics diversion. I love to talk economics. Personally I keep my investments tied up in gold mainly. I made some money on a really lucky IPO and when the dollar started to tank against the Euro, I kinda bet against my country and our fiat currency toilet paper type shit. It's not worth the paper the shit is printed on here anymore.

Gold is always worth something and is a worthy investment in any nation of the world you live in. It will hit 5,000 US dollars per ounce in the coming years, I shit you not. The world is buying off American debt and switching like a thief in the night to the Euro as the currency we trade oil in on the world market... basically leaving us in the dust. And fairplay for all our years of gaming the system and creating something out of nothing. An interesting fact... the cost of a barrel of oil and the cost of gold were basically parallel in their growth since like 1950. Say we poured the amount of money into Gold futures back then that we did into oil futures back then for the entire world. We'd be about equally as rich today. That tells us two things really... oil is always a great investment when we have a nutcase in the White House ready to set off a war at any time. And 2, currencies that are not backed by a significant competing currency will inherently destroy themselves through inflation over time. The Federal reserve(really a bunch of rich British bankers... still being taxed by you lads in the end then aren't we?) just moves numbers in a computer and lives are destroyed, investments are gone... whatever...

But you can always buy a loaf of bread with a brick of gold, no matter how dire the circumstances. And without oil the world comes to a screeching halt. It's a wonder why we ever left the standard of backing our currency with gold reserves so that it was actually worth something. But then how would we run up our endless debt with "peace keeping" missions and the US/UK empire we all maintain around the world?

Anyone interested even remotely in what the hell I just ranted about should look into this shit to protect their financial future: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 0256183936#

Unjacking the thread now. I do not actually know of Fantastic Mr Fox. This will be an introduction. Can't wait. Grabbin this now.

The long wait is finally over. After two very remarked single 12" on Ad Noiseam, unleash their first full length release, in the form of a CD featuring their past vinyl-only discography, plus a couple of tracks that had never been released on either formats and remixes by Hecq and Enduser.
remixes by Hecq and Enduser.
It was promised, announced, and expected, and here it is finally: Broken Note's first CD. A full length compendium of this act's misdeeds till today, "Terminal Static" is the eagerly awaited arrival of Broken Note to CD players everywhere. Turntables needed a break.

Containing as much music as one can pack on a CD, "Terminal Static" presents the material released on vinyl on Ad Noiseam, Ruff and Damage, showcasing almost two years of extreme sonic mayhem, as well as one brand new track ("Mask Of Gas") and three remixes. Unleashed upon the world by two young London based producers, Broken Note's tracks have taken listeners by storm since early 2008. Playing countless shows and festivals, getting insolently exposed for such a young act and receiving praises from everywhere, Broken Note are obviously the hottest thing around. As well as the hardest, the deadliest and the heaviest.

Mixing dubstep, drum'n'bass, breakcore and industrial-grade distortion, these two musicians create dancefloor-ready, fresh and intense tracks which have proved their efficiency in legion of clubs or shows. From the deepest hooks of such tracks as "Zealot" or "War In the Making" to the accurately named "Fury" and equally broken "Let 'Em Hang", Broken Note's array of talent is their force, bringing together fans of shattered beats and those of heavy basses.

And finally, yes, there was more material and remixes: Broken Note and Ad Noiseam chose to present with "Terminal Static" an exhaustive compilation of this band's past. But rest assured that more is coming.

[01] – Broken Note – Let Em Hang – [Ad Noiseam]
[02] – Broken Note – Dubversion [Hecq Remix] – [Ad Noiseam]
[03] – Kick Drum – Felix The House Cat [Proper Tingz Remix]
[04] – Bassist & Triage – Allways [Broken Note Redit]
[05] – Broken Note Vs MachineCode (Current Value and Dean Rodell) – Untitled [DUB]
[06] – Broken Note – Mask Of Gas – [Ad Noiseam]
[07] – Broken Note – Retox feat B-Real & Mobb Deep [DUB]
[08] – Cursor Miner – LanderRemix [Broken Note Fukup]
[09] – Broken Note – Channel Zero
[10] – Broken Note – Meltdown – [Ad Noiseam]
[11] – Broken Note – Pyrotek [Cooh Remix]
[12] – Machinecode – Recoded
[13] – SPL – Distance
