You know what these tunes are ok guys!

I would go wild if i was drunk outta me head (but hate this kinda straight - goin straight for crowd reaction stuff), but thats not the flex i like dubstep for - i would go to a DNB rave for that - because soem dnb DJs managed to be both hype and soulful/musical . i like to meditate on bass weight (big up mala)

I like the classic "we want to make tunes that make you wanna flykick a homeless person" / "please don't bring negativity and bad vibes into our thread" combo...

Oh man, why did somebody bump this. Ive just read 16 pages of jokes, beef and bullshit. Where was I when all this happened? Its like we was invaded by Grime Forum or something.

I actually downloaded one of cookie monstas mixes and while i thought his production wasnt bad, and I did enjoy some of the tunes, you do have to be in the right frame of mind to listen to a whole set of it. Some days I was really geared up for it and on others I needed summin a bit less frantic. Its pretty hard and a bit of a head fuck but there is definitely a market for this type of stuff.

I dont mind a bit of the mid range stuff but im concerned with the way Dubstep is going though. All this hype stuff and the type of crowd it attracts, all these coked up little DnB/Grime rudeboys, are ruining the scene. Dubstep doesnt seem to be about the 'dub' element anymore, getting lost in slow, swinging, sub based half step beats. It seems to be about repitition, how hard a track wobbles and how hard you can barge somebody whilst wobbling to that wobble. That really isnt what it is all about.

That's indeed what's wrong with the scene IMHO.

Sounds like you have been to Why Not mate, it was full of these stnuc. Admittedly I wore neon plastic sunglasses to a dubstep rave once but only because my girlfriend brought them for me. I realised I looked like a tnuc, Dead Rats even reminded me of this but i didnt want to hurt her feelings. SHe fuckin owes me one because I have to live with that for the rest of my life...

:Q: Even if this thread makes us all look like stnuc. .....

Oh wait .. :)

EDIT: I will shamelessly admit that im a real softy for the hench bangers as well as LOVING the dubby dubstep.

I think its a bit piss poor that everyone is so fucking elitist about dubstep and thinking just because they, and the majority on this forum, prefer the rootser dubstep it is therefore better and they themselfs are far higher in the dubstep hierarchy than anyone else.

Seriously guys, loads of you are guilty of that.
