You should get all over with the pendulum hating. I mean, seriously what's the point? Not being the carebear here either but hating on pendulum is sooo last year.
Face it. They pwn you all, they fill up the clubs, and they make money like no other Drum & Bass artists. Fairplay if they do some dubstep. I would play that over a good bunch of tunes I prefer not to mention to avoid drama.
And hating on Tech Itch?

say what you will, Tech Itch is a pioneer, and is one of the few Drum & Bass producers that can actually just build a tune out of that unique loop. And his 'One Of Us' is tits.
People are fully entitled to express their views...thats what you're doing here
I genuinely cannot stand them & propane nightmares brings me out in a rash if i hear it too much...it's played all day at work and i want to stab my ears...
& the kids that like them are generally irritating posh ones called tom & imogen that are into DRUM & BASS!!!

Agreed 1000% with piston.
I have had my experiences with posh kids that think pendulum is the best Dnb act ever. I was djing at a prom the other week. They all started saying that they wanted some dnb so started with some big tunes and posh kids kept coming up to me and asking to play dnb and im like this is dnb. They went off and the next thing i know everyone is shouting play some pendulum i refused and carried on with some actual dnb NOT POP MUSIC!!!!!!!!!. They kept shouting for pendulum so i turned of the system and said i am not playing any pendulum i dont even own any pendulum tracks and they kicked me off the stage just some some posh kid thats got all the pendulum tracks could go on and he played a half hour set using just pendulum tracks. I packed up my shit and left.
My girlfried made me laugh the other day. she bought the new pendulum album and was like i actually bought an album you will like. i was amazed i thought maybe she hass got into her dubstep or got a dnb album. No pendulum i got the cd and threw it out the window with all my might.
I hate pendulum with a passion. admittedly they have some ok tracks but anything after the first album is just complete and utter tripe.
I was in a local record store the other day and he was recommending people not to buy there new track and hes trying to sell them.
Has anyone noticed that all there tracks sound the same?
same cheesy synth sound and poor rockish vocal over the top.
I wish i would have seen this thread earlier.
Rant over for now anyway.

The whole thing smacks of someone trying desperately to sound as 14-year-old friendly as possible, like an unhappily married man in a chatroom typing in textspeak in order to get a schoolgirl to talk dirty to him. Musical pedophilia, fuelled by avarice.

I saved my judgement till i listened to the track in HMV... obviously was not on sale in good record shops.
All i can say is this, Its a one sided vinyl with a picture on the other side. I stupidly thought it was a 2 sided picture disc and listened to a crackle every 2 seconds for 20 seconds until the guy next to me pointed out my mistake.
After listening to their dubstep tune i realized i preferred the crackle.

Cant stop laughing at that one.

I wouldn't be surprised if this 'dubstep remix' was by someone else. They're big enough internet geeks to know that a) everyone will go apeshit when they find out pendulum are making dubstep and say the tune is shit, and b) it'll be hilarious when they reveal it's actually caspa or someone and everyone suddenly does a U-turn
it's interesting that what "bruce" hates about dubstep is that it's 'stripped down slower dnb'

Oh there's more !! All the below got thrown about by pretty much anyone who worshipped his ass, who hadnt even really heard any actual dubstep tunes before anyway but wanted on the bandwagon just to appear all worldly and qualified :
"Dubstep is just 45 dnb played at 33"
"Dubstep is heroin music"
"Dubstep is where dnb producers go to die"
"It will never get played out at a gig, its impossible to dance to."
"Dubstep is just a prank/experiment by a bunch of producers to prove that ppl will pretty much like anything if they are told to."
"dUbStEP rAvE LuLZ" with like the 154th posted link to that cgi piss-take youtube clip.
Quite a few of the above were first coined by 'bruce', and then as expected, others blindly followed suit. Its that kind of blanket piss-take on a whole genre that irks me and can spoil a 'scene'. Arghh, it shouldnt even be about any the 'scene'...
It should all be about the musak maennnnng. PLUR heh...

yeah i mean it's quite interesting because, to a certain degree, his definition's not that far from the truth. quite a few people have said that dubstep (or 'early' dubstep, fuck me that's a depressing term) reminded them of old jungle because it was so stripped down, just bass and drums and loads of space inbetween. i find it interesting and a little sad that one of the leading figures in dnb can't stand that sort of thing
