i don't mean it would necessarily solve domestic problems, mainly international ones. we wouldn't have these bullshit standoffs and behind the scenes power struggles to the same degree & scale.

although now that you mention it, i wouldn't mind if the south executed their little secession fantasy, except for florida, they would have to stay. but basically anything south of north carolina over to texas can become a new (failed) country if they want.


each state would have it's own economy but we could have a shared currency. im talking about modelling this literally almost identically after the eu. but im also talking russia and china here. the main point is to break up their centralized dictatorships

Ok, lets put it another way.

Europe has absolutely no authority in that sence. Only trade agreements they can tease with and that is simply not enough political levey, consideing the nations you are comparing them to.

I'm not trying to dissagree, but like russia - eventhough putin pulls all the weight, it's not centralized as such. It's wealth and power deliberately divided between
Oligarcs that own beneficial grounds for Putins busyness.

that's the point. new york and connecticut and delaware will be their own countries, like england and france and spain, which would have their own power, and then they would all be organized under a similar body to the eu.

this way there would probably be less superpowerness going on in the world. like if europe was one country, they would definitely be the superpower, even above america, but theyre not, so they don't involve themselves in the game of thrones style standoffs that the us, russia, and china involve themselves in.

He has effectively paid off all interests inside that nation. Like everybody with power have in turn accepted him. He is above what constitutes Russia as a nation. Russia is just an idea now but whatever Putin is doing is real.

good point rayman maybe u can have new borders. or regional countries like new england, nj, pa, de, and md can all be one country. the bible belt can be a country. florida is on it's own. cascadia can be a country. the illinois/ohio/michigan/minnesota/indiana/wisconsin crowd can be a country.

and then scope can take the rest.

it's not like it necessarily HAD to evolve that way. it wasn't doomed from the start. it coulda gone a million different ways if a different events around the world took place.

Power tends to centralize. Monopolies form. The sun essentially has a monopoly of hydrogen and helium in the solar system.

It is the way of things.

We need a force to resist this centralizing force, that was the rule of law and the constitution, but it was much weaker than the centralizing force. Now we're fucked.
