How's it goin my fellow Dubstep fans. I'm Harley, 23 years old, and I'm an Excavator Operator in the Oil Field. July 26th, 2012 was the day I discovered Ableton Live. That was the day. The day I experienced an overwhelming feeling of excitement. Finally knowing what the hell I'm going to do with my life is Very empowering. Shortly afterwards I bought a digital keyboard, NI's Massive, and some studio headphones. I quit sleeping for 8 hours, getting an average of 6. I quit working overtime at work, I wrote down my goals for the first time, I saved up the cash to purchase Ableton when the trial ran out, which was yesterday, and lemme tell ya, easiest $742 I've ever dished out. I always knew I was going to achieve success, but I never knew how. I have a long way's to go, but I'm going to get there sooner than I even expect.I'm a very motivated, driven individual, and I'm happy to say Music Production is my life.
Anyways. I have a few questions for the experience music producers,
1. What techniques helped speed up your learning process other than
Courses, Youtube videos, experimenting?
2. Where can I learn sound design and synthesis?

Hi All,
I'm a new comer. First post!
I'm after teaming up with a producer. I play/do brazilian music. Fully rooted in capoeira and old samba tunes. I love dubstep and for a while I've been thinking about seeing these tracks produced with a crazy dubstep vibe. I've got ideas and some (no many) contacts to DJ a possible set and try the music live.
I live in Bristol, UK, so ideally looking for someone local, but happy to collaborate remotely if it comes to it.
I've never recorded my music professionally. This is the first time I launch myself into producing music. Not to be deceived. I know production environments well as production and music is closely related to my work and family.
I sing and play few brazilian and western instruments although I have to admit I'm not immensely talented in any of them. The good things I guess are character and personallity with loads of energy to produce something cool...
any one interested...
For forum moderators. Is there a thread where I should post this better than here? Thanks

Hey everyone im Josh from michigan USA where the EDM scene is really starting to kick. I have only been producing for a year and a half after drumming for 8 years. I would love some feedback on my tunes to go along with the research I will be doing. What is most important for me and my music is that I am constantly progressing (not like progressive house or anything -.-) just that i am always learning and taking steps forward to better my musical abilities and understanding of production and time spent idle is time wasted.
so I encourage everyone to check out my music and critique me, pleaase don't hold back and tell me how my stuff makes you feel.
Have a great day,
Josh

What's up
My name is Alex Hill, my production/DJ name is
Cutthoat (you can pronounce it "cut throat" if you want) and I love producing dubstep where there is filth but it's controlled and down low, the type that thrills the audience and makes em go OOOH OOOH OOOH OOOH
My biggest influences are Coki, Caspa, and Loefah, but I also love Skream, Benga, Mala, Distance, The Others, and all them. I also get a lot of inspiration from Dub Police's License to Thrill EPs.
I hope to eventually start up a label. A tune you can check out is in my signature, I hope you like it! If you do, you can always follow me on Soundcloud

since I'm a pretty new producer, feedback is super appreciated
peace off, one love, and as they say in my hometown, don't forget to be awesome.
