Used to think that, saw him at Benicassism this year, he smashed it, now a fan.
Really?! I saw him at Glastonbury and I would go as far as to say he's the worst person I've seen live ever. The urge to hurl things at him was enormous.
Might have seen him on a good day then, I thought he put on a blinding performance. Was an unexpected festival highlight for me TBH, I hadn't wanted to see his set and had until that point considered him pony, but he properly impressed me

On paper you should destroy them. Must be one of the best SA teams ever against on of the worst aussie ones.

They looked pretty lackluster today against Amla, Kallis and even Peterson.

yeah, if you look at it simply, England beat Australia pretty comfortably a couple of years back and you beat us this summer (though i reckon over 5 tests it would have been closer ).
Your batting line up is pretty ridiculous and the bowling is almost perfect (if you only had a decent spinner). Can't see anyone beating you for a while..
ps. should totally be a snh cricket thread

I'm a pretty big fan of Imran Tahir.
I just don't think he's fully come into his own.
He's a world class spinner though.
He just lacks the ability to hold up an end and create pressure.

hmm, thing is though nowadays you can't really afford to have a spinner getting smacked about the park unless he's taking wickets regularly. When I saw him at headingley this summer the england tail enders were playing him without too much trouble, only took wickets from their mistakes really. Suppose Headingley's never really been a spinning wicket though.
