Well I play with my brother whos back at home and a few of his mates and its just the banter and stuff that makes it fun.
I dont know if they chnaged it back but you could join in a party and just chat between your party rather than everyone so its mostly us laughing at stuff and joking around, never for serious tactics!

feels a bit like he's like "teach everything about the subject i care most about". Just IMO, but physics requires long enough to teach the basics that you need to understand to act as a foundation to further learning.

This argument could apply to basically any subject.

This is only based on the UK but musical should stop being so classically orientated. Biology should teach all the recently discovered stuff about virii. Sports should teach about every single sport available, and all the advances made in sports science in recent years. R.E. should teach about all the religions in the world, no matter how big or small. Geography should talk about all the geopolitical issues of the last few years.

Unfortunately, when you're teaching and learning such a range of subjects, at a certain level, you have to focus on the foundation, because there isn't enough time, unless you want to specialise, and then you can focus on that, which is what happens anyway.

Gave a speculative answer to a question to get the person asking it off my back for a bit earlier, turns out it was the right answer and everyone's worked out fine :D

oh definitely, i got that vibe too. it's just in the US science and mathematics education is really inadequate. while i agree that physics does take some time to teach the basics, having competent teachers, who know how to teach the subject is really important as well, and why not start engaging students a little earlier with those basics. they really pushed the curriculum in the 50's but something happened along the way. is the UK big on standarized testing? in the US this is basically where all of our teachers energies are focused on from third grade and up. pass the test so the school gets more money. get a bad overall score for the school and then there's budget cuts and a round of lay offs. mr. DERPartment of education should really take a look at these fucked up policies. an overhaul is definitely needed.

i think something needs to change towards the attitude of these subjects too..

just something i saw recently

Skinny whelp. If I passed her in the street and threw a pie at her, would that be a hate crime?

Defo (in my experience anyway). One of the things that majorly pissed me off about school (and sixth form especially) was having to explain the subject to people that spent their time learning exactly which words and phrases would get the marks in the exam, and having them outperform me in exams

I sacked biology off after 1 year in 6th form, because the teacher was ONLY about passing the exam which racked me off. Every lesson was just copying down example answers to example questions.

Woke up to put in my personal absence to attend the naming ceremony of the weetle cubbie panda at San Diego Zoo! Then go to the museums. It will be a good boost since I've been feeling really shit recently. I've just been thinking of the imminent death. I made a promise not to dwell on it too much because it's inevitable. It will happen! Why waste so much energy on something I cannot control. I could be dead after today. And science hasn't proven that I'm coming back like Jesus, the Mexican dirty ice cream man who keeps coming back everyday, around the same time in my neighborhood. It's chilly already Jesus. No one will buy your dirty ice cream. Not even these little cholitos and cholitas (cholos). Ugh. I spent time thinking of it again. Anyway, panda bears!!! They are currently in the den! :corndance: Bai Yun's making the den purrty . I love her and the little sausage.

I don't really see why Vivek is doing this. Why not just improve the one you've already got, he's only used it 4 time ffs

I cant imagine it'll happen over night. It's not a bad move to start a new project with an end date of like a year down the line. All the current 'System' issues will have been ironed out and then he can combine the two for the Deep Medi stadium tour in 2013/14.
