nah, big up if he wants to do it, and this might not apply to him, but I've heard a few people say "I'm just gonna work for x months and then do y" like they think 100% of their income is gonna be available to spend at the end of that period.

Haha its allways months of saving for years of travel, when its really the other way around.
Especially if its yoru first time away as you will get mugged off sooooo hard, atleast based of my experiences anyway.

Something I've just remembered. At one point during the warm up DJs, they played some hype tune and some dudes started some quasi, awkward as fuck mosh pit. Anyway, after about a minute of that, I just heard somebody shout out, really concerned:

"Has anybody seen a stussy bucket hat?!"

Could not have summed up the crowd better.

Yeah, some of my mates were doing like, 20 hours a week in a shop, saying they were gonna work for 6 months "solid" and then do one to australia for a couple of years. Yeah yeah, big up going round Australia on your £400.

I swear Australia is the mecca of people that want to travel, dont know how and are afraid of everything Non-english.
Its basically a warm quasi UK/America Hybrid with warm weather and cold seas and they have weird warm Christmas.

Not to say I wouldnt like to go some day but its not exactly an "adventure" which is what most are after to step of the plane to sun and english, to work some menial farm job so you can get fucked up on bags of wine and wear "thongs" all the time

I'm a massive advocate of travelling but outside of people who knew I went away and ask me about it, I fucking hate talking about it. Atleast to new people infront of others.

Test yourself and come up short, there are concrete and steel realities you yearn for behind closed doors in your mind, but you're better off working retail and fading into nothing.
