I don't think I've ever paid more than about £40 for a battery. And I've always bought part worn tyres so they've never cost more than about £40. However road tax cost me £150 for six months in January (I still haven't received my tax disc, and still haven't got round to getting a replacement sent) and i had to pay £600 for a new gearbox and have it fitted last year.
My car costs a fortune for fuel (£10 gets me about 50 miles unless I do loads of motorway driving). I only use my car to drive to work, my next car for me will be something cheap and slower. Which as a car lover is really hard for me. I love my car, but it costs too much. If I get a small car, it's going to have to be fun and like a go cart.
