I caught one the other day, was so proud until I realised 'hey there's an alive fly between my fingers'
I panicked.
You should put it in the freezer for 60 seconds, quickly take it out (it should be unconscious) then tie some string around it.
There you have a pet fly.. You can take it for walks and everything.
Or..
Drown it in a glass. Make sure its dead.
Then pour some salt on it...It will come alive again.

Maybe it's selfish to share the misery and torment, but it's hard to try and value the last few hours with a loved pet knowing I've already sorted his exit... Justifying it as 'the right' thing... Justifying myself as the right one to make the right decision (and further into this feedback loop)

Last time I caught a house fly I put it in the freezer for just over a minute, and glued it to a match and then breathed on it to dry the match and in the process resurrected the fly.

I set the match on fire and let the fly hover for a while until it died, burned crispy fly.

Well I can't deny French is a shitty language. It's just rather ironic that an American says anything about anything. Pretty much everything that sucks, sucks more in the USA.
