haha - it's not a bad sample choice at all bro - fits the song real nice - just saying Caspa and Rusko pretty much lowered the coffin on that one - you'll have to expand your film knowledge bro - get some clint eastwood samples or something - ain't seen much of that and everything he says in films is spoken like a parable!! haha

Really appreciate the comments everyone, cheers!

:D

@DJPsychonaut: Low mid-high mid could come out a bit more for presence, try narrow cut 250 and below, sounding a bit muddy in the low end.

@Hakka: THis film probably has the most rinsed samples out there, production is sounding clean, good work!

@Reignz: Yhes yhes, I cut as much as i could without actually affecting the kick, there was also alot of high end presence in the kick that went out.

@Princess Raul: Yhes designs needed, will be sending email shortly.

@Redjuan: Deep vibes comin along here, snare could use more presence, would like to hear more snap, and bass is a bit boomy. Thank you for the comments!

@FSTZ: :D

@GRAYSKALE: Yhes, yhes more on the way.

Big tune mate. Only feedback would be to bring your drums out a bit more. They're a little hidden and quiet. Some sidechaining/distortion/eq'ing would bring them right to the front. :mrgreen:

I posted this up in the dubs section but got a big fat zero of a response so thought i'd chuck it in here as well for what it's worth..
It's pretty much the first full Dubstep tune i've made (usually just have sections of dubsteppynuss in my tracks instead), so any feedback'd be immensely helpful!

Anyway, here it is... have a listen :e: and see if your feeling it!

@48k Those drums are nice and punchy, loving the roll into the drop! All those bass sounds are nice and gritty, lots of great variation. Also really liking that shouting sample you have ocassionally. Adds some nice energy at 2.40ish i really like the change in pace. Very nice track overall :D

@Jaspervc I do feel that you need to bring that lead synth / bass down in the mix, it really is drowning out the drums. I did really like the vibe you had going on in the intro, but i feel that enegry is lost after the drop.

@Fstz Time chamber is definatley my favourite out of all the tracks you posted. The 4x4 kick really works, really got me moving. The synths in the track really seem to work together and their rhythms seem to add a nice pace to the track, the vocal stab also seems to add some nice enegry. Loving it man.

Here's my track Soundcloud would really appreciate some tips and stuff seeing as dubs section never seems to bring anything. :lol:

I wish there could be more on the way but my laptop is down with all the tracks on and I can't get them off it =( goddamn shitty Acer's!!
Waiting for that winning lottery ticket so I can buy myself that phattest iMac, Logic Pro and 5 gazillion top of the range VST's!!

@Phantom Banger - that there is one really beautiful tune, got a really nice old school vibe about it - mellow and dutty at the same time - but I got say as much as I love the dub siren, it's got no place in a chilled out tune like that mate - your tunes about progression and melody rather than smashing up the dancefloor (though I'd boogie my socks off to it after a few biffs and a pint or two) - nice work

@48k - that tune is fucking sexy mate - only two critcisms (and this might just be a matter of personal taste) but I don't like the sanre in the intro - it's got like a tom-like timbre to the lower-end - basses are all there though and a decent mix - some nice little incidentals thrown about the place too - middle section really doesn't fit the track (IMO) mate - if you scrap that for a shorter hypey drop (klaxons, rises & whatnot) you'll have yourself one polished track - good work bro

@jaspervc- digging the tune nice cud use a lil more equalization and compression overall im liking and bring them drum levels up!

@48k- niiice track could use sum subb or more. Lovin the style alot tho mann. maybe bring up ur hats i can barely hear them unlesss thats wat ur goin for overall nice track.

@PhantomBanger- Starts off pretty low might wanna bring up yer levels also try layering your drums if u havent already. no bass in the kick and no pop in snare. overall good ideas just get it mixed and eq'ed upto par!

@ Dubstepcentral - tracks not bad - you got good ideas, but those synths sound a bit flat man, you gotta shove a few more FX on them really give them some distinguishing character!! Also the drums need to be more booming - they're really quite behind the over powering synths - check out the production bible and the excision &datsik stickies to learn more about making bad ass sounds - think there is a thread on mixing somewhere aswell that should be helpful - also youtube is really shit quality, post on soundcloud. - don't forget to chuck a bit of feedback at other people's tracks too - people give feedback for feedback in this neck of the woods :wink:

Thanks for the feedback :) funny how fast the response is in this thread compared to the dubs section!

Only listened to one other track in here so far but, The Phantom Banger - i'm def feeling this track - and its a bit different to what I'd normally listen to :)
Good vibes on it though and gets better with repeated listens! I like the dub siren in it too, adds a nice higher frequency texture to the track...

Couple of e.q things, most noteably the lack of stuff int he 70 - 160 hz range, maybe flesh the drums out a bit more?

I'll def check out and feedback on some more tracks when I get the time... thanks! :mrgreen:

Only been producing for a month or two and this is my first attempt at dubstep. Its made in reason and probably sounds a bit unconventional but I don't mind it being a bit different. Any and all feedback would be appreciated and the more critical the better... as long as it's constructive ;)

Definately unconventional :wink: there are some good ideas going on there but there is alot of stuff peaking - you need to double check that nuthing in your mixer is hitting the red cause it'll give it that fussy booming noise that's happening in your track - a good way to get a nice balanced mix is to just bring the level of everything right down on their solo tracks and get everything into a nice balance just using volume, then once you've managed that, which is more difficult than it sounds, you can just bring up the master fader to suit add a touch of compression or limiting and voila no peaking in the trick - keep it dude, and don't forget to chuck feedback at other peoples tracks when your posting.

@tripwire
I like this tune in general, it's like 8 bit without being overloaded with noticeable video game sounds.
The breakdown reminds me of something The Orb would write. Sounds a little cold all around though to me.
