I checked a couple tracks -- neither were my cup of tea but both were well done. Here are my comments:

variete track: Well produced and arranged. Another commenter was talking about the kick -- It's sitting plenty loud in the mix here on my 824's (no sub). I think your sounds could use a little more character. They all seem 'out of the box'.

Capture track: Good programming. With your cut up vocal sample -- there are some places in the track where the timing is locked in perfectly and some places where it's not. I think you need to sort that out.

capture pt - Nice track, but feel like it could do with more progression, like a break or a build.

Rayman - Like the samples and chords, think your drums could work really well with some more subtle fills and what not. Break it up a bit

Work in progress track here, still got more to do and wanna change the arrangement a bit more

Since we are all postin house tracks thought i may as well post mine. Now before you listen to this you must know, this was the first song i made using Ableton, made about a month or two (or inbetween) after i bought it (At new year) So it may not be the best song you've ever heard. And on a side note, this isnt the typical house track that you hear, it might sound a bit weird at first. It might sound crappy without a subwoofer aswell but im assuming everyone on here has one.
Here it is:

@elyhess - mix sounds nice and balanced. i think the track could use more bottom. your kick doesn't have any, which may be stylistic, but i would personally have used a bassier kick.

Hey guys, digging this thread up a bit, but was looking for some advice on a tune ive been playing with last few days. Has been a while since ive gotten into making something and forgot how fun it was!

Basically, any thoughts would be amazing, but I was wondering if anyone had any specific advice over how to get what im after. While it started out meaning to be some kind of spaced out magic mountain high voyage its ended up going in hard apparently. Well thats what id like anyway! Its still early days for most the track, but ive not been able to get the sheer driving feel i think a certain 'drop' needs. It sounds ploddy to me rather than hammering. Not after full blown hammering, but something that makes the head go down the fist gently make an appearance...

Soundcloud

But yeah, the whole track is still more than open to criticism. Ive got a long way to go with it to not lose what im nearing!

hah that description made me giggle a bit

I actually really like this tune, has kind of a balearic vibe to it

not really sure what you are asking but maybe some open hi hats on the downboat kind of thing would help create more of a 'driving' feel

Here's my latest house track, I'd say I've improved quite a bit compared to floatin':Soundcloud

With this one I wanted to make something less serious than what I usually produce. Tell us what you think about the song production wise, if you notice any problems with the track, and tell us what you think about it in general

Finally got round to finishing the track I started a while ago. First in a while, happy with it though.

Just worried about the mixdown. Ive got a cheap pair of floorstanders and some naff headphones to do it with. Get the feeling from how I put the tune together that the low end might be a bit messy...would love it if someone with a good pair of monitors could give it a listen!
