@mta7388- epic track dude. you also got a sick ass vocal sample. percussion is interesting too. the little bass wobble part in the beginning is never brought back??

mta7388 - really like synths in intro, lovely sub and synths in main section... but the midrange bass bits don't work at all, in my opinion. and the snare needs EQing it's a bit too submerged. if you left out the midrange bass bits (like at 0:59) it'd sound lovely.
appreciate the feedback, i'm a little unsure about what to do about the wobble, i wanna keep it subtle but its kinda awakward to only have it on that one part.

sprayypaint: What a sick intro! Although those noises are too loud when it comes in. Very cool bass sounds though may I add. I can't fault your production apart from the hats being too loud/trebly. Very original tune.
ogunslinger: Very cool bass sounds, i agree about your melody though, something isnt quite right there. But, again, production wise this is sick mate. Second drop does it for me!
norverge: to me this all sounds a bit too fake, as in too computer generated. I know it actually is computer generated, but it sounds too robotic. You need some serious EQing, and dynamic adjustments to get this to settle. And maybe add some verbs to blend everything together. I think you have some cool ideas, but maybe take a step back and reassess. I said something similar to another recent starter earlier on in this thread: you try to cram too many different ideas into one tune, cus its your first. If you study dubstep, its actually quite a minimal thing; usually only 3 or 4 ideas max that are looped and varied. Take your favourite few ideas and work on those before introducing new ones man. Repost when you have another go though, I look forward to hearing it!
OK: Scrap that link I posted for my latest WIP just above, I need to FINISH this tune. So any pointers to how it can be finished would be ace thanks Soundcloud
Cheers people

@Kojent: Pretty sick intro I must say, love the drum work and loud atmosphere of it, very busy.
Dropppp, Banger, I like this bass, lots of great sound design and the mixing is actually really great, interested to see this in the finished tracks thread. Keep it up man.
@Ogunslinger: Lots of fun, but the flat line entering the drop is making my ears hurt though =/ track is really good, like the concept, digging the sounds, and I love the synth melody. IMHO I can't really place a guitar in this, but if you can make it sound good then ups and I hope to hear the final piece. Good work, lots of busy tracks on here today.
@Spraypaint: Liking the wonky bird sounds, this needs a little bit more top end on the bass IMHO. Jay z sample seems a little out of place, and the second wobble doesn't seem to fit the first half, but it's a good sound, so imho it would work really well with more work. Good concepts, lots of potential.
Here's my newest, a little more vibey than my other stuff, thinking I'll keep it repetitive and simple, hope you guys enjoy.
sprayyypaint: Awesome beat/bass, haha. Really fits the name. The bass and percussions goes together very well. Not sure on the second part though, would like something else there, maybe a breakdown or melody of some sort. The first part if great anyway and mix sounds tight, very nice EQ:ing and panning on the percussions/effects. ogunslinger: Nice bass, I love how it rolls around, drops down etc. Not too keen on the melody though, I think something darker would suit it better. I also think you should get rid of the hihats or replace them with something more snappy. The bass/wobbles are great though and mix sounds pretty good. Debaser1: Ah, heavy drop and atmosphere. Some clipping going on unfortunately but besides that the mix sounds good. Really like the dark 80s pad and acid synths and how it builds up toward the end. The percussions makes the track very rough, great! A possible continuation could be to add and progress the pads/strings even more, building it up to a total climax and then dropping everything down to the intro again. Just an idea. I think you should remove the bassdrum and bass between 1:30 - 1:45 by the way and add some more effects instead. That part feels very WIP right now, like a placeholder even with the vocal sample.
So here is my latest WIP. I'm going to add some more breaks and stuff I think but other than that let me know what you think: Soundcloud

Cheers man, Yeah I know its got a way to go. Great idea with building to a climax, I'll try that
I'm loving the intro to yours. Yoou really seem to know what you're doing. I think the drop could be more powerful if you leave some space before it comes in though. After the drop its brill though. Bass sounds are perfect.

cool intro! i think you should cut 0.14-0.26 to make the intro abit more interesting! other than that the intro is nice, drop is REALLY cool. nice ideas really nice overall, gonna be nice to hear the final piece!
#kes-es
cool sound mate! drop is nice... perfect sub since you want it simple and repetetive, there is nothing I can give feedback on lol cheers mate nice prod!
#debaser
steady intro/build. Drop is nice and unique, but I think the pads get too much in this track. overall, nice job mixing seems fine. nice drums.
over to my wip, spent quite some time for the intro, but the drop is quite hastly made. thinking of replacing it totally ^^ tell me what you think though... I ahve som problems with the sub, if i put it down one more octave you can really hear/feel it, but do you think it's ok now? Soundcloud

@mta: Thanks for the feedback. In your track I think that the drums could be brought up a little bit. Especially around 2:05 where it drops, I could barely hear the kick. I like the vocal samples a lot though. Good work.

@Kes-Es - nice pluck on the intro, I like those deep drums and that sub, it gives it a dark mystic sound, good work!
@Grok - The melody on the drop impressed me!! Nice modulation on the bass, I would change the snare though to something abit softer and with more reverb, but thats just a matter of taste I guess, keep doing what you do!
@superginger - You have improved alot under such short time! Very nice build up and intro, the drop is maybe abit to harsh to the ears, try to compress the bass abit, also add alittle reverb on it, it sounds abit dry. I deffo like the idea and with some more work this could turn out to a real killer!!
here's something I have been working on: Soundcloud

@korky_bucek
Not bad at all! It's pretty fresh, I'd definately be willing to listen to this.
Only few points of critique here: it's short and a bit repetative, try to get some variation in there, other than that it's a job well done
@Kes-Es
Very nice, definately very chill though personally i'm more for the heavy dubstep, it's still very nice!
Though yes it is a bit repetative but i read that this is what you were going for... Maybe a bit TOO repetetive though?
@hutyluty
Very nice, mellow, when i'm not listening to heavy dubstep, and i'm in a more chill mood, this is definately my kind of song!
Got no real points of critique here, nicely done man!
And now, me
I am new here and I'd like to ask some feedback on my WIP (it's just the intro for now + start of the drop)
@superginger - fuck yea!!!!! I wanna hear more drum variations (im sure they're coming), and turn that mid-range bass down man, its way too loud.
@Ninthy4 - love the intro its very well executed. I think your mid-range noises are too loud in the mix and they end up blotting out the drums. Other than that your riff sounds pretty similar to but meh I guess its different enough.
@zendja - I think the fight club sample sounds kind of too obvious and cheesy. Your snare coudl use some beef to it as it sounds wimpy compared to that kick. Also in the drop it is advisable to put the sub weight on your bass and not the kick for dub-step but to each his own I guess but I grantee the idea you have there will sound better with more sub. Otherwise I think you should make more tension in your drop as it seems to kind of drag on right now, then again it is a WIP
Here is the tune I made yesterday/today kind of an oldschool jungle amen break messin tune.
@lordbid thank you for your advice and criticism, it's exactly the kind of criticism i am looking for and need!
Now, considering your tune: it's god damn phat man, I love it, very chaotic, dirty, filthy but still structurized, a perfect balance if you ask me.
Now it's not directly my style, but still I think it's very good, keep up the good work!
any more criticism on my WIP people?

@lordbid- gotta say i love that tune mate- your best one so far, yoiu're really going from strength to stength nowadays The only thing I might say is that the vocal sample has been rinsed a bit before, but I suppose it fits so well you don't want to change it. Anyway, big ups!
@ zendja- thanks for the feedback mate. The kicks are incredibly overpowering in the intro and like lordbid said, the snare is very weak, you might want to choose a different sound for it. Also bring out the synth melody a bit at the start, it's very nice and halps build tension but it's a bit quiet. The drop also lacks a bit of a BAM factor, stick some sub in there a nd a bit more of a variation with the drums. But all the ideas are there, it could become a very nice tune

@Ninthy4 - very nice track brov. LOVE the soft build before you drop the gangster hammer. What DAW are you working with? I dont think there would be anything Id change about the tune..., possibly just adding some rolling hats after the 2 minute mark.. but thats just personal preference. Keep up the good work.
@Lord - great use of the amen break.. maybe just change up the patterns a bit or rechop the break later in the track. This is a nice chill track, but has the potential to be really heavy depending on what direction you want to go with it. For my personal preference, Id like to see it go heavy by getting rid of some of the pads and bringing the midrange bass out more, and also layering a slightly pitched up clap behind the snare... but again, just my personal taste. Solid cut nonetheless.
