I've crashed about 4 times now right after buying daedra hearts. Reload, no hearts in stock. Immediate F5 after buying anything now.unwind wrote:Fuck. Picked this up today, traded in a whole bunch of old games and got it pretty cheap...

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
three patch's in and i still can't buy the house in windhelm because i can't do the quest required.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
head to ivarstead from whiterun, i think that's the easiest way to do it. there should be signs somewhere on the roads outside of whiterun that point you in the direction of ivarstead, just follow those around the big mountain (the one high hrothgar is on) and it should take you there eventually. once you get to that town, talk to some people and they'll mention some stuff about the 7000 steps thing (which you take to get to high hrothgar).kingGhost wrote:okay so i played through the first few hours again. i guess i was just going through an anti-rpg phase before. i like it now.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
or you could do what i did and just get on a horse and run up the mountain.
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
if you do what he said and go around the mountain, look out for caves. i found one and some guy triggered a quest and i had to kill some mage guy that kept reanimating draugr overlords. pretty hard (im like lvl 6 atm lol, started a new guy with destruction + 1 handed + light armour + enchantment) but the loot u get is decent.kingGhost wrote:okay so i played through the first few hours again. i guess i was just going through an anti-rpg phase before. i like it now.

Two handed just seems bare boring to me. Run slowly to monster + attack monster. Repeat.
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

My copy arrived this morning. I'll have a blitz tomorrow cos I'm having a party tonight. It's hard to resist the urge to tell people to fuck off so I can play it all night though.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
This game is starting to do my head in now, so i can't get the house in windhelm because the quest is broken so i decide to try my luck at getting one in Riften. Turns out the quest to get the house there is broken to. You would have thought that within the three patch's bethesda have released they would have at least sorted out these ones.
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Why buy a house? Finish mage school quest - free awesome magic tower 4 lyfe.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
i think you have to do a certain amount of quests for the jarl/people of the town before you can buy a house there but i may be wrong. in my experience, after you get on the jarl's good side, his assistant dude will give you the option of buying a house if there's one available in the town.wobbles wrote:ive only been able to buy a house at whiterun
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I've done mad shit in every town. But still no option to buy a hou5 anywhere else. Idk WTF idk WTF idk WTF gay shit WTF idk gay idk wtf
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Is that on the ps3 or pc? Because ive had no problems whatsoever with the xbox version apart from some minor glitches but nothing thats harmed gameplay.aspect-dubz wrote:This game is starting to do my head in now, so i can't get the house in windhelm because the quest is broken so i decide to try my luck at getting one in Riften.
