You guys are talking about a split, to keep the "advanced" members happy, like they're so much better than the new members.

Maybe if the people who have been here longer than most weren't condescending and pompous this forum would get better.

Come on guys, it's right in front of your face.

So you don't want a split because you enjoy subjecting yourself to condescending, pompous, moronic elitism?

Are you a masochist lol ?

Or maybe its because 99% of new users don't read the rules.. or the stickys.. or use the search.. and people who have been on this forum a long time find themselves repeating the same things to new members all the time because these people are to lazy to help themselves. People just want an area that's not cluttered with the same shit over and over where new and interesting production discussions cant be held.

this has been suggested before, but i think its a great idea. when new threads are created, DSF should search for the words "Skrillex" or "Excision" or whatever and filter those posts...or warn the user or something.

this is retarded, just because people don't like an artist, doesn't mean that there aren't legit questions to be asked about their processes
and honestly people who have been here less than a year and that are weighing in on this matter really have no clue of what the issues at hand are

then it can bring up a warning screen instead of blocking the thread saying something about "Is this a thread about Skrillex Bass?" and then point to the search bar if it is...wont work all the time but would help atleast a little bit

no it would be pointlessly excluding certain artists, a hassle to code up since i doubt there is a phpbb plugin already available to do something like that, and discounting the entire point of having the stickies
seriously you've responded so much in this thread like you've been here for the stages of when this place was heavily self moderated by the users, to the state it's in now
when in reality you've seemingly just found the place. step back and let the people who have actually partaken in this forum discuss the matter rather than cluttering up a thread that's supposed to be constructive

exactly, i haven't even been here that long compared to most on here so realise i don't have the same basis for comparison as others. you'd think people who have been here a lot less time might realise they may not exactly be the fonts of all knowledge on this subject.

OK I ain't been here for a year but I thought legend4ry said this is an open thread to say what you like/dislike?

This thread is (ironically) becoming a shining example of what I don't like, so I'm butting out anyway
