oh my gosh!
madness inside & out. Massiv ruck at the door - not sure how i got in - didn't really have a choice - a lot of people were pushing and luckily i got pushed into the bouncers who let me in. my mate was stuck outside tho and didn't end up gettin in at all. not good.
tickets meant nothing. half of shoreditch (including far too many haircuts, but hey, it's all peace, lov & unity) were trying to get in, but once i got in i thought it wasn't too rammed. safe vibe inside. actually it got a bit religious inside my mind. could've stayed forever. the heavenly bass hosts from on high..
Few tech probs in back room, but Benga and Mystix in main room killed it. amazin set. big ups to them.
why'd they stop at 3 tho? i was feelin it and had opened my eyes for first time in about an hour & then it was all like - that's it, on your way. eh??
not sure what the whole 'undisclosed warehouse' ting was about. no doubt some marketing ploy to get the time out kids jumpin. well, i guess it worked.
bit of wrong madness. but more than nuff great madness to make up for it. so in end amazin night of best dubstep beats and that's what i went for, so safe!
big ups fwd. big up the plastic people soundsysytem (louder next time!)
peace

Big up every SAFE person that got in to all you WASTEMAN SUCK OUT until you learn some manners
i was left really angry and disappointed by friday night. everyone i was with had bought a ticket in advance and arrived at about 11pm - what i would have thought was a reasonable time. even at this stage, before we started queuing, there was complete panic and disorganisation with no one knowin what was goin on - and no attempt from any or the staff to calm people or give them any information.
after about an hour and a half of queuing in the 3 metre scrum surroundin the door - and i mean INTENSE queuing where youre on your tip-toes and squashed so closely to everyone else you cant move or breathe - about 8 guys who were well over 6 foot tall, and BUILT, decided to push in from outside the queue. they were literally usin brute force and elbowing hard to clear the people in front of them, even though there was no space at all for anyone to move. despite a lot of people protestin, and a lot of people actually gettin hurt, they managed to get where i was standin and tried to move me out of the way by elbowing me and putting their hands on my back to force me out. i kicked off - i was pissed off and determined not to let these guys get in front just because a) they were male, and b) because they were bigger and stronger than me. i spent the next hour in the queue separated from my mates and locked in a battle with these guys - it got to the point where one of them wanted me to shut up and move so much, he was scrapin his shoes down my legs and grinding his feet onto mine. as rowdy as the queue was, i dont think he wouldve got away with openly hittin a girl, so resorted to more underhand measures.
it was basically down to luck that we got in at all in the end - a few of my mates decided to leave and left the queue - but on the way passed another entrance that had been opened and sent us a text to let us know. so after 2 and a half hours of pure stress and uncertainty queuein, we finally got in - i was VEXED though still and was angry for most of the night. these are not the vibes i expect from dubstep nights at all, and i was definitely not on the atmosphere. i can completely relate to people complainin about fwd - although its one of my favourite nights, when it fucks up (which it has been increasingly doin), it fucks up hard and really makes you angry, and makes you feel that the ethos of the night has completely changed.
i queued to get in, then queued to use the shite loos, queued to get to the bar only to be told about tokens (why no signs anyone?), queued for tokens, queued for the bar again, then told later alcohol had run out - all the while gettin boshed and elbowed by everyone around. no set times posted, with the system gettin turned down later definitely did not help my mood.
wish i had bought a ticket to dirty canvas instead, wouldve killed to see trim - but bein broke and already havin spent a tenner on this shite meant i was completely stuck and couldnt leave.
enjoyed zed bias and mala and benga still tho, hold tight boomnoise - tequila next time lovie - hopper, dolly, scientist, braiden and tubby. thank god for draw and mdma!

sorry mate its not my fault you got some morals about que hierachy. lol lol
youre an idiot - of course there are morals about queuing - dont hurt anyone, respect other people, and generally the definition of queuing is first come first fucking served.

STILL no apology from FWD. Are they gonna refund the ticket holders who couldn't get in?

Thats no on. Big up for standing your ground.
Quite depressing to think that this is the same night that I used to look forward to so much. Sounds like the venue fucked up tho; 2 bouncers at a 1000 people capacity night???
I do think that nights that are not in Shoreditch/ Central have less trendy stnuc at them and better atmosphere. It used to be great when fwd was thurs but the fri and sat crowds in shoreditch are the biggest load of idiots

they're probably too busy... counting all their lovely cash
despite the total disorganisation we had quite a laugh in the queue, particularly with the guys in front of us laughing at the river of piss and booze seeping from the venue (hope you lot got in, eventually)
the music (when there was no power problems) was healthy, kode9 and appleblim made the ordeal worthwhile, gutted i missed distance and shame it finished at 3.
won't be buying a ticket in advance again, just means you're tied to that mess.

I wasn't there but, to all the queue-jumpers, you are pathetic. Yea yea fuck everyone else I'm gettin in - that ain't the vibe I expect from dubstep famo and I think you're fuckin waste.
I'm sure sure something will be forthcoming from the promoters/organisers in respect of refunds soon. Otherwise, I think someone posted earlier in the thread suggesting contacting Plastic People.

time was when promoters and djs actually cared about what this forum felt because lets face it, forum heads were the only people turning up to these raves. now dubstep has exploded promoters and djs are going to sell out venues regardless of what we say/think, so basically they don't give a shit if a few forum heads had a 'crappy' time, they're still sitting pretty at £10 a head.
Also, on another note, they really seem to want their cake and it on the 'warehouse' thing. All the disorganisation of a traditional warehouse rave yet charge for advanced tickets and finnish at 3am.

wasn' t well organised, but i still had a sick night, got in at about 11.30, didn't leave brighton till 9ish, didn't book a ticket till 7.30, so was pretty successful. one of my friends without a ticket got in at 1, was pissed, but thats what you get for not booking in advance.
sound system was nice, didn't notice too many dodgy peeps in there
couldn't really tell who was playing when though, which was a bit long!
pissing in the dark is hard, but not impossible. trying to sort out your 'supplies' in the dark...now that was a mission.

worst night out for a long long time. think i was in the same place in the queue as you farrah, nice to see dubstep warriors pushin girls half their size around. the atmosphere was not good - proper this is an accident waiting to happen shit. get inside, bars shit. smokin policy good mind.
shouts to fellow queue sufferers jason bracket and fay and the scottish guy on his last big night out before he left the country...
to all the other queuers
and to the couple splittin up behind us keepin us entertained

What can I say that hasn't already...?
Another very very pissed off customer. We drove 2 hours to get down. Que'd 2 hours and ended up sacking it off cos it just didn't look like we were gonna get in so headed into Shoreditch for the rest of the night before heading back to our mates in Bow...
Been going to fwd since 2003 and to be treated like that just ain't on... yeah we can blame the club for not sorting out barriers and enough staff to stop the que jumping wankers from blatently taking the piss but I think a Fwd representative could have at least come out to either explain what was happening or to warn people that they couldn't get in... At one point we see someone just look out the window with an 'oh shit' look on their face... yeah no shit there's 300 people trying to get in to your club night what the fuck you gonna do?
I didn't get a ticket and glad of it as I’m now hearing ticket holders still didn't get in and reading the mixed reports i'm sorta glad i didn't part with my cash. Would have been nice to see Zed Bias and Zinc but nevermind...
The wastemen pushing in and braggin about in on here? where the fuck have you been... The one thing i have always enjoyed about dubstep nights is that there is no beef... the good vibes and unity of this forum also happens at the dances and to see all this get fucked off cos of this "i'm getting in fuck everyone else" attitude sucks... Half these wankers probably didn't even know what night it was... I had the displeasue of waiting next to a load of complete morons that didn't even know what they we waiting for... they then decided to start pushing their way through the que... absolute stnuc ... If these vibes are brought into the dance this will have a negative effect on the music, people attending, nights progressing and the 'scene' on a whole...
I 'm still lost for words with it all to be honest... time to start checking out a few other dubstep nights i think...

What really is a joke is that no-one from FWD/Plastic People has stepped up to apologise or accept responsibility for the shambolic mess that was Friday night (correct me if I'm wrong - 24 pages is lonnnnng)
Was such a shame as it was essentially a wicked party but it could have been a lot better and not left hundreds of people (myself included) feeling like they've been totally and utterly mugged.

I rocked up at about 12:30 and took one look and turned around. I could see it was a mess. Went home instead.

met some friends for a drink outdoors in brick lane a few hours earlier that evening... it was so fucking cold that that I went back and stayed home to do tunes.. quite glad I did now, though it would have been nice to hear Zed Bias
