With music, or other artmaking, the most important thing is to be honest. Even if you're a liar, be honest with your lying. Just make your work, over and over, how you like to make it. You will emerge over time. Not to discourage expanding your skillset, but where you are, who you are is already legitimate, will always be legitimate.
