Any comments would be apperciated, plan on extended the sections / making a second drop, having a middle ambient interlude with some vocal chopping etc.... but this is just an idea of where its headed.

Hit me hard, say what you think, think what you mean, mean what you say.

3 things i can say about this are, it sounds a bit muddy could possibly do with some eq'in, the percussion that comes in with fuck loads of reverb every so often actually hurt my ears so maybe it could get turned down and bit and same with the clap/snare. Like the vibes though, and the bass at the drop is really cool :t:

EDIT: My apologies for a rude start to my use of this forum, was very busy both times i last posted so had to keep it short. So hello everyone nice to be on board. Im Nemesis, Im a Joiner  and bedroom producer from West Yorkshire. I do my best to write filthy stuff but with it still being quite early in my endeavor into this side of things stuff doesnt quite soud 'right'. Thanks for listening and hope to hear from you.

P.s. Soundcloud wont let me upload for some reason :? so only got tracks on youtube at the moment.

I've never produced before, and I'm sure it will show in this. It's pretty amateur, but I just wanted to see what people thought, took me arond 4 hours, but I had no idea how to work Ableton when I installed it so a lot of that time was spent in trial and error.

Mainly feedback on the beats really, and how do I stop it sounding so bedroom produced? :| Sounds kinda empty and hollow and just.. ugh.

Anyway

Thanks for listening!

@dedman: Cool stuff. It seems very bright. If that is what you were going for, you did it! I am used to darker stuff. I like your beat, and the flow of everything.

I am new to dubstep, and I absolutely love it. However, when I go to apply what I hear and like, my drum patterns sound way different (not EQ different, but rhythm). My beats sound way to 4/4 and lame. Please help! Thanks.

your snare sounds out of place compared to the whole track. I just kind hits and sounds seperated from the track. Maybe process or add some reverb and layer a clap.

Intro vocals are good. bass line is a bit to loud could be fixed with some mixing.

needs a good mix. Would like to here that growling bass a couple more times and a little more variation with the piano or what ever that is. the 2 snares you go back and forth on the original and the one when it drops. The one when it drops sounds to off to the other snare. not bad though for your first peice. It's differnt.

I dig. I love the drums. Those bad bowys are running hard.

Intro way to long. You could had some more Kicks in there and put a little swing on the hats and wood block as well as the bassline. if it sounds 4/4 and you want it to sound different start expirment 1/3 on a 4 bar loop.

Watts - I love the wonky/funky bassline in the intro, pretty fat!
But, yah, you need to cut the into down by half (IMO).
Good start though man! :)

Soundcloud

I'm dying for some feedback on some works in progress!

albo.

The samples at the after the drop goes mono it sounds like. So you have this space that is taken up then goes to one side. Can you make in stereo?

cool track dig the sounds in the intro. The back round of the vocal sample kinda comes into hard. good sample but that really stuck out. Solid kick and snare

New one, lookin for some feedback - Although none about the bass being repetitive!! :P I know it's repetitive, I didn't have time to mess around with rates and sounds for the bass, but will be doing! :D

Soundin big man - especially like the bass.

IMO, should have a more punchy snare though - and a touch less high end on the hi-hat, but that is probably my personal taste...lol

Aye ive thought about the snare. Not quite there is it? Agree about the hats as well, thanks mate appreciate it.

You're tunes sounding good, bit more variation on the bass maybe? Seems a bit repetitive

Top end of the wobblers quite nice, something i think some people struggle with, including me. No sub though, not sure at what point you put it in but would give it loads of chunk when its there. Nice job mate.

youv never produced before? for your first song its very good! there are few issues with levels and eq that need addressing but that stuff comes with months of ear training. Yeh keep it up, maybe add a shuffle in ther to give it a swing feel. Dont worry about ur track sounding amazing at this stage, its probably better to just get ur head round the software first and ur tracks will get better as u produce more! have a look at the production bible or online tutorials.

p.s. not every record has to sound full, some tracks work better if they have space and silence. If theres too much going on/layers of sounds, it can easily get muddled and takes away tonality from the other tracks. im personally not a big fan of 'overproduced' tracks

NO BASS BEING BORING COMMENTS!! :P Cheers man. Albino, send to two filters - scream and comb, play with filter saturation 3 ;)

I'm having real trouble with the sub - it is there!! I'm trying to get it like the sub from 'When I Look At You - Emalkay' - the sub on that is HUGE! But I can't seem to nail it - more high-passing and eqing needed methinks

Cheers man, appreciate it :D

This is my second ever attempt at music production. I'd love any comments or feedback whatsoever. Everything helps!

One question though: How do I make my sub bass sustain frequency? It seems to have an inherent phasing to it.
