Not at all. I don't see how anyone can hate it unless they were forced to listen to the radio all day when it first came out.

The best Pharell album isn't even a Pharell album, it's a Clipse album and the best NERD album is clearly the Spymob version of In Search Of...

Happy is weaksauce compared to everything on any of those records.

I don't actually get why anyone thinks gGet Lucky is shit let alone horror to the ears. It's a fun pop tune. Hearing it in a club between all the guetta and nonsense that's in the charts sounds so much nicer production wise too. Same with Happy even though I don't like it. It's at least sonically bearable.

Only like Giorgio by Moroder and Instant Crush from the RAM album really.

Instant Crush was one of my least favorite tracks on there.

I like that one with the dude from Animal Collective though

I think it more has to do with the overexposure.

Whenever I see AxeD's name my mind autocorrects it to Axel F and then I end up with the Beverly Hills Cop theme stuck in my head. Which is neither the best, worst or from the last 5 years.

Ahem, excuse me.

That's what I think it must be. I only heard Get Lucky at a few mates' houses, maybe once or twice in a club or when I wanted to listen to it my self. I imagine it would be the sort of song to drive you nuts on the radio though which might explain it but that still seems to be exaggerating the fault of the song far more than the situation. Like even if you're not a fan it's still not pure hell compared to most other pop

Really? I am baffled that people would take Guetta over that. Even just on a easier to ignore at a shitty club level.

Get Lucky is good, as far as the shit you always hear in shops/tv/adverts go. Not something I'd choose to listen to, but it's alright.

That Happy tune is waste though imo.

Get lucky and happy are both great throwbacks to the disco and motown eras. I dont understand how you can honestly say that they're shit in every single aspect. I just wish the lyrics to happy were better...but it was written for Despicable Me 2 so what can you do?

The same thing goes for that Bruno Mars song that seemed to be in every commercial. It was a great throwback to the motown sound and was legitimately well written.

Get lucky and happy both belong in the cringe thread
