Easy people - bit late on this thread - kinda got stuck in (been around some forums for a while)

Links in the sig have all the info. Fell in love with Dubstep after a bit of dabbling when a mate played Southern Comfort by Bural.

I've already posted a few times, so here's my belated introduction:

I began learning how to dj in 2000. I spun drumnbass, and then nu skool breaks. In 2004, I decided to venture into production. In 2005, I discovered dubstep. I also started doing live p.a. sets that year. I began producing dubstep last year. Check my dubstep mix of original material: Dub for peace.

Been following the scene for about a year and been lurking here for a few months. The early Digital Mystikz releases drew my attention to dubstep, kode9/burial/plastician got me hooked.
Come from a background of hiphop, drum&bass, dub, funk etc

Wotcha

How do.

Thought I should join up here. Been into this sort of stuff since John Peel starting banging on about Digital Mystikz years and kinda went from there. Well into Shackleton, Kode 9, Pinch and owt doing something a bit different.

Of other stuff, huge fan of the Basic Channel / Rhythm & Sound stuff, Digital from when drum n bass actually had some good ideas, techno like Sleeparchive, Audion, Jeff Mills, Mathew Jonson and the mighty Surgeon and a massive, massive fan of Autechre.

Production forum looks good on here.

new here

ez, my cats name is mr. meows. we call him mister mowmowpants round my hood.

i like using logic and reason, trying to quit playing world of warcraft (for the sake of making full choons instead of like, making a simple riddim and nothing else :/ ) drinking cheap beer, and pimping birds on myspace.

i guess what got me into dubstep was listening to a moldy mix live in NYC (yeah fucking big up east coast us) which led me into the dmz stuff and tectonic etc etc .. still learning innit

anyway i played dubstep for the first time today (thanks to beatport, you haters) and almost blew the speakers at my local thang, so big up ya showerface.

Hey guys, i'm ashley. I stumbled upon this site while googling "dubstep mixes" and here i am. I live in the Northeast, US [currently NY]. I spin DnB but i've been trying to experiment with other things as of late, always had love for the Ambient/Downtempo stuff so it's pretty natural that I find myself lovin' the dupstep  .

Hello all, a bit of background from me:

I've been lurking in these forums for a while but haven't posted yet! I'm originally from Glasgow, Scotland but am now based in Byron Bay, Australia. First heard dubstep at a bush doof (rave) in north NSW nearly 2 years ago when I really didn't know what it was, but I was intrigued by the fresh sound even then. Now I'm proper hooked, spinning it at clubs/parties in the area in amongst my usual drum and bass sets.

Just getting into producing it myself, there's a bit of a scene (albeit small) kicking off in the area with some very promising local producers.

Nice to meet ya's!
