this is so true. the mindset thats been created has formed unrealistic expectations for a lot of youth, as well as taken away the craft of really promoting and building yourself up as more than just an 'artist'. these kids need to get on the corner and hustle cd's out of their trunks imo.cloaked_up wrote:Bros want instant recognition these days tho.
They want it instantly over the Internet as well.
That's just a general comment not aimed at the op bro FYI
I would really steer clear of these guysBloomingAudioLife wrote:"Ok well I hope you take this the right way. I reviewed the EP, at least 15 times, and to be honest dude, I just really don't hear it is as up to par with this past few recent releases, as well as future Ordinance releases"

Over the past few months (since September '12 when we got Beatport), we told ourselves that we'd never buy our own releases, no matter how much we wanted to chart or get noticed. We've worked countless hours and endless nights, and it's now the time that you (the fans) have paid us back once again. We reached #85 on the Beatport Glitch-Hop chart today with Wraven's "Let Me Go"! Guys, we love you all, and we thank you for the continual support of our music, and we promise this release is the first of many to come of this and higher quality! Sincerely, Ordinance Records
Wasn't there a thread a while back about how getting a Beatport Top 10 placing wasn't exactly rocket science in this day and age, and these guys have got #85 on the Glitch-Hop chart?Terpit wrote:Over the past few months (since September '12 when we got Beatport), we told ourselves that we'd never buy our own releases, no matter how much we wanted to chart or get noticed. Yeah there was something like that. I have a friend who has reached the top 10 in the dubstep charts and he's older than me, still living in his parents basement. It doesn't take a whole lot of sales, although its a good credential.wub wrote:Wasn't there a thread a while back about how getting a Beatport Top 10 placing wasn't exactly rocket science in this day and age, and these guys have got #85 on the Glitch-Hop chart?Terpit wrote:Over the past few months (since September '12 when we got Beatport), we told ourselves that we'd never buy our own releases, no matter how much we wanted to chart or get noticed.
