Guns arent even the problem, its the culture of violence/mass inequality. If you take away the guns, I guarantee assualt and stab rates would sky rocket. This is what happens when you are born in a nation that was a prison colony for the brits and french, and a place where the spanish sent their crazy warlords.

The police "evaluated" that kid like a week before he did that and said he was fine

Obv there should be some protocol where that dude actually gets checked out and taken into a hospital or something when a doctor spends more than a few minutes with him

I can't really comment on how good it would be to just take away people's shooters in the US right now. Maybe that'd mean just mean law-abiding people are defenseless against gangs etc. I'm not from the US, don't know enough, can't comment.

The thing is, there's no good reason to allow people to have guns in the first place, certainly not semi-automatics etc that you can buy in the US. Guns bring nothing good to society. Obviously there's cases to be made like hunting, if your job necessitates it etc, but that's about it.
