Nah bro you dont get it.Maccaveli wrote:I couldn't give 2 shits about whether something's mainstream or not, I fucking LOVE Katy B for example. I get that you like stuff that 'goes hard', but constantly screaming in your face gets kinda repetitive after a while. All these tunes we're posting, make no mistake about it, will CRUSH YOU on a big soundsystem. It's a completely different way of hearing (feeling) them when you're out in the right environment. I didn't say you were at System, I just said that if you were you'd understand.
As for calling some tunes slow, they're all around the same speed. Dubstep = around 140bpm. Even if they were slower, I don't get this whole 'faster and heavier = better' attitude. What's wrong with a little variation?
I... I don't even.... Once again, you're talking about a certified classic dubstep tune. And if you listened to it on a proper soundsystem it would hurt you.Cyrex wrote:I assume you put the bug one in as a joke...
I literally loled at that...dude I have a sound system. Its just bass. If you like that, then whats wrong with bass cannon?Maccaveli wrote:I... I don't even.... Alrite alrite I see what going on here. Your taking it from an artists point of view. As a producer, you can hear things and spot things I probably cant, and when im saying things like faster, as a producer you automatically assume bpms. I know that 140 bpm is the standard, but thats not what I meant by faster. When I say faster, I mean the sound substance is more technical and more noisy I guess. Theres more sounds lolMaccaveli wrote:I... I don't even.... Once again, you're talking about a certified classic dubstep tune. Also, all those tunes around around the same speed as the Knife Party tune you posted earlier. Pretty sure Fatman VIP is actually a few BPM faster

You should talk with sonika.Cyrex wrote:brostep? I dont know what falls under brostep, b ut now I know that you have a name for what I listen to, this whole convo is irrelivent. You just dont like "brostep" and think 90% of "brostep" is screech and noise. So thats good to know. And yes by technically I mean the beats that go into my ears have more variety than what you guys showed me. Going off your your guys examples, dubstep is massive base and occasionally you might hear a flute or something
Ill get right on thatReverb wrote:You should talk with sonika.
