IMO skillex isn't dubstep at all.. It's more like electro tnuc screech or something, to have that sound associated with dubstep is damaging and embarrassing.

Yeah I know What you mean..i always said If Skrillex would put out pure dubstep no hard electro/dubstep or whatever he does...lol i think people would respect him alil more. he hasnt and dont think he will ever put a pure dubstep song out. and one thing is that alot of dubstep artist are goin for the kind of sound he doin because alot of prople new to the music like it. anyways all i said i dont hate sjrillex i like some his songs just saying that he not my fav. artist out there.
One time I was out training in my F-14 listening to a 3 hour dubblestep mix when I flew through the jet wash of another aircraft and suffered a flameout of both engines entering a flat spin from which I couldn't recover, me and Goose ejected. Goose ejected directly into the jettisoned aircraft canopy and broke his neck, dying instantly... as I cradled his body a teardrop rolled down my eye and fell into the ocean.
Saddest moment in dubstep AND a poignant reminder of current events.

My saddest moment in Dubstep has to be when I stopped listening to Dubstep. This was about 2/3 years ago, as I was getting fed up with the sound that it was turning into and the commercialisation of it all. I thought it was starting to sound too much like that charty shit, which to be quite honest I hear a lot of now still. I moved off into DNB for a while and generally fucked about with breaks, got bored of that and then sold my turntables.
After taking some time out, I listened to z BunZer0 mix and my god.....
Wish I never stopped, I've missed out on some such good material the past few years. Bunzy mixes were always some of my favourite and probably what got me into listening to more dubstep in the beginning anyway! I now have to spend my time at work, not working and instead searching through mixes trying to find all this new/old subheavy, lack of mid-range wobwob, awesomeness.
I've a fuck ton of vinyl too, and now I've got to buy some more tables cause man I miss that shit.
tl;dr - I stopped listening to dubstep cause i was being anti-charts and regretted it.

Also, the day I realized that Skrillex had a long-ass Wikipedia page and Mala had none at all.
So 2 Unlimited were the true inventors of the genre? It all makes sense now.

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.
If you'd rather not even click on such sillyness, here is the article, followed by a bunch of non-dubstep YouTube videos:
There is a new Kmart commercial that has a Skrillex-esque dubstep song playing along. The song strongly resembles Bangarang using different stutter vocals over it and a few different notes. From searching, it appears to be a song created for the commercial and is not out by any artist or band.
