I hope Vivek's realized that he should be improving the pressure of the system rather than just adding rigs to increase volume.. wouldn't mind too much if he decreased the volume a little bit actually, might be for the better

improve the clarity as well, might be just a bit too bassy at the moment

It's somewhat worrying that someone who's been DJing for years and has built a soundsystem still does not understand the damaging effects of loud sounds in this day and age. How is he not deaf?

I think VIVEK might've actually been criticising systems that are loud to the point of physical pain, comparing it to a cinema screen that is so bright you cannot see the image properly. It's a poorly articulated point (not sure I'm doing much better) but correct at heart I guess. The intro to 'Feel It' should tell you that the guy respects sound over volume.

Ear plugs are only necessary if you spend the entire night right in front of the stacks tbh. It's a better idea to stay around the middle imo, you get to hear the tunes as a whole more properly from there cos when you're right at the stacks it's all just bass

Yes, I agree. He didn't actually say louder was better. He did say if the system was good, it didn't need to be loud.
