yeah instra:mental/boddikas production & creation levels are much higher than most, no need to par them in the same basket with certain others...

Bod is fairly good at doing what he does currently. I just think (subjective oppinion, not qualifying anything) it's incredibly boring. especially compared to the Instra:mental stuff they were releasing a couple of years ago. a lot of the Swamp stuff feels a bit unrelevant rather quickly.

i feel that what he does now is purely club music. He´s a very good dj and his subs sound very live, good party stuff generally but intra:mental stuff is miles better. Big up the woman from BM music that recommended me Resolution653, one of my fav albums and talking mono is an absolute personal of mine

I'm not deep into the swamp thing or anything, don't closely follow joy o, boddika or any of those guys, but I like almost every banger type anthem tune they put out. Swims, Ellipsis, Mercy, all of those tunes are large as fuck and go off for a reason.
I reckon that stuff gets some amount of bitterness cus it basically replaced dubstep as a scene didn't it? Like every dubstep producer and their mum switched over to some techno variant and i guess if you wanted dubstep to happen again you wouldn't be happy with it.
But I don't have that context so to me most of the shit I hear out of the swamp crew is fuckin sick rave music

imo i think the tunes they lay out gets a lot of bitterness because it went down in standard quite rapidly
swamp went from palying actual interesting stuff (pearson sound, instramental, kassem mosse, occassaional dmz) to playing shit like mak and pasteman and route 94 (lol srsly). actuaklly nah thats probably just why it gets a lot of bitterness from me
im not so sure about the bitterness about the tunes they're actually releasing/making tho. maybe backlash stemming from the same thing
or cos house and techno is generaly a lot less forward thinking and boundary pushing than what they were all previously doing
its well trodden ground
actually ye, same as what people say about blawan
but that guy just fucking loves techno so fair play to blawan

Fair nuff
Didn't really know there was a difference between old and new swamp like that, at least not after the very beginning with pinch, kryptic minds etc

sry man i wasnt having a go w/ that second comment ^-^ if thats how it came across, just felt like a lot of ppl (probs inc. myself) have talked about that stuff b4
like i said i think its got more interesting reacently from the few bits ive heard but hearing a load of bollocks sounding like mak and pasteman and route 94 the last loads of swamp nights i went to was bleharsnravrearadkjshj
rather have listened to the warmup djs all night

mak & pasteman have sick club tunes though, i can never knock them purely for that reason. their tracks go OFF
this is probably one of my favourite ever instra:mental tracks, if not my favourite "house"-ish thing of all time.
