The same thing goes for that Bruno Mars song that seemed to be in every commercial. It was a great throwback to the motown sound and was legitimately well written.
never liked those tunes and i've heard them way too many times to find them bearable anymore
also that sound is horrible

How does "I've heard the song too many times" equate with the quality of the writing?
Theres plebty of music I dont like but can still appreciate the skill and talent.

Hearing a song too many times isnt the fault of the song/artist.
When a song is shit and you are forced to listen to it is when hate is born.
Daft punk and fairy williams are both hugely talented, they just clearly made a song to be as bland and broad as possible, its a bit like this:
which also got to number 1

"It's being used for something that's greater than yourself."
FUCK OFFFFFFFFF
Nearly cringed to oblivion watching that.

My GF rinses that Clean Bandit 'Rather Be' tune.

Innit, on a similar tip to 100% by Duke Dumont. riddim
Also that Sigma tune that got to number 1 is gash. Miles better 'poppy' d&b out there.
