turns out cops CAN deal with a threat without having to kill a person. and this guy not only had a gun, but he was pointing it at them! if he was black they would've put 50 rounds into him 2 seconds after he got out of the car (and probably even if he only had a knife)

I don't know what happened there, but from what I see from that clip, one, the dude had horrible fashion sense, striped shirt and plaid shorts... could have capped him for that alone, two, it appears the situation was not very dynamic, the police had him surrounded, and they were under cover and concealment, thus there was no immediate threat. They put a controlled shot into his center mass which immediately dropped him. Unsurprisingly, he got up, was disarmed, and walked over to a tree where the pussy ass police approached him and made the arrest.

Every situation is different. It seems like there were many, many officers there, the area was surrounded and controlled, the officers were not under direct threat, they shot the dude and made the arrest. Seems reasonable from what I saw.

To be honest, that guy would have been dropped if he was black. He's pointing a gun directly at them, even white guys if they looked a bit ghetto would be dropped by that point because they're allowed to do that by then. If the guy had fired he probably would be filled with rounds though.

I'm interested in what the police have to say about it
