That Skrillex / Damian Marley tune isn't terrible it's just so... bland. Generic. It sounds like any other tune you would pass over on Juno Download. I really don't get why he's so popular.

Thought it was ok until the god damn screeching noises started. How do people find that ear-rape enjoyable? There's nothing interesting about those sounds, it's just painful. Like, I'll give him Scary Monsters. The synth work in that tune is fucking awesome. But all his recent tunes have been dominated by these high-pitched synths and I can't understand the appeal. I guess it's one of the few sounds that can be played on laptop speakers without losing much loudness or tonal quality, but that's about it.

Agree with you 100% here, Skrillex is good, he's just catering to the mainstream electroheads and tbh, with all the money he's on now, i don't blame the guy

So Skrillex is, in your opinion, good, but, in your opinion, doesn't make any good tunes?

here in Australia about a week or so ago there was a ad for kfc or something playing some cheesy bro type tune and and the subtitles actually said "dubstep music playing" and from what i can remember most of the time with any electronic music dnb included it would just say something like techno beat or electronica was a little surprised(and saddened) that they actually named the genre.
