I still think instrumental hip hop has far better forms to evolve,
by avoiding the commercial-imperative trap [~_~]
and trance hasn't yet been effectively crossbred with 130/140
but shit there's some lovely electronica around

That's what I thought about AKKORD & Truth till the last few weeks
then I began to hear something progressing in Akkord's tunes...transcending their step/techno influences...possibly could be heard as boring dancewise I s'pose
and Truth have truly turned back from the dark side of noisy brobble and are making some nuanced sounds that I can't place for influence... maybe they heard something in NY on their midyear jaunt.

but DJRum boring?...nah, can't agree there...I keep hearing more and more in his work.
imo his new extended tracks always catch my ear for their thorough exploration of a theme
his music sounds like post-drug, clear-minded creativity to me.
