Italy just hasn't had that many moderate socialists through history, and when you have two large extremes like communism and fascism making up the spectrum, it can seem rightwing because the middle always becomes populistism. (lol I meant populistic)

I think I'd agree more with italian communism than say liberal socialists in germany because they would just hand decisions on humanism etc to the EU or an idea of what the market could be capable of, eventhough my views are closer to socialist principles inside a book or whatever.

Or maybe they just don't give the same fuck about politics because of all the history of corruption. They are pretty fun to watch and visit though .

nah man surely it's hungary or some other eastern bloc country. For sure Italy is bad, I mean people there throw bananas at their first black minister ffs, but the shit you hear out of the eastern bloc is even scarier IMO.
