It's pathetic how that KFC ad combines 'dubstep' with literally nothing else. Malay advertising at its finest.

And I completely agree with what cmgoodman's saying. For example I don't listen to much rock (I like Zeppelin, Hendrix, Nirvana and a select few others), however there's heaps of rock I regard as good music even though it's not to my taste.

yeah i got a few mates into metal bands n shit i can respect and appreciate the skill in that music even though i can't stand it most of the time but there's no respect for skrillex music wise he's just jumped on the bandwagon i really doubt he'd be producing dubstep if it was still very underground and there was no way of getting famous n doing massive sell out shows

Every single day, my Facebook has advertisements on the side saying 'LRN 2 PRODEUCE DUBSTEHP' with Skrillex beautifully sculpted face on it. maybe this belongs in the 'things that pissed me off today' thread
I found a way to get piece of mind for years and left the hell alone, turn a deaf ear to the cellular phone

Dark dubstep, fair amount of unsigned/amateur tracks from the forums too.

Skrillex started producing dubstep long before the bandwagon came along, so your accusations are wrong. I respect skrillex as a musician, and I think he can make some rad sounds.

You do realise barely any of his stuff can really be called dubstep. Do not confuse when he may have started producing with when he made the first thing that could be argued to be dubstep. Also the bandwagon has been around since 2007.

And skrillex didnt even make 'dubstep' until at least 2010, if thats not bandwagoning especially with his musical background, then i dont know what is.

So the guy has 186 pages talking about him in a dubstepforum, has thousands of internet memes, millions of youtube comments hating him and people still ask themselves why he's so popular?

Who needs fans when you have haters?

This is a direct result of all you fassies who call Flux Pavillion, Skrillex, Doctor P and all that other related brostep SHIT, 'Dubstep'. Ruined it for everyone. I don't even know who 'you fassies' are, but when I find out, I'll rant about it online.
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.

He's popular because there's more people that like him than dislike him you mong. You think if the whole world was like this thread, he'd be popular?

This is just 186 pages on a forum. Nothing compared to the sold out shows he plays to every night (probably).

Wish that if you typed the word "haters" poison stored within the keyboard leaked out and permeated the skin, and causes you to hear Basic Channel records for the rest of your life (Nobody that has ever used the word "haters" likes Basic Channel). Same for the words chill and melodic. Fuck y'all, all of y'all.

I like melody, but you ever heard anybody call something "melodic" outside of someone on here explaining why this new Flux Pavillion track is like, totally not bro and I don't care anyway because it's hella melodic?
