As an Arsenal fan, I can grudgingly accept this... but the UK as a whole? Are you mental?

bundesliga takes the prize for best stadiums / support right now.
Clubs like Borussia Dortmund are breathtakingly well run.... season tickets insanely cheap, support is boisterous and packed week in week out

Dortmund were helped out massively with their stadium by the government, would never happen in this country

Wenger likes to have attacking players who can interchange positions during a game. Unfortunately his recent record of buying gems on the cheap isn't great..

Ofcourse - that's gunner 101.. but ontop of that he really favours that position to a degree where you have to pose the question if his 'solution' only resides in the past. I mean.. buying Suarez would be the dumbest pr move in football, so going for him definitely hints at how important Wenger thinks this position is IMo.
Then again -ofcourse there's the posibility that it's just cynicism and taking Suarez qualities for what they are without predujice.
Wenger has turned some difficult people into incredible players - like Henry or Vieira.
So it's probably a good place for Suarez in that regard.
I don't want to paint him as naive, but it does seem a little obsessive. If you want 'proof' you can look at how none of the mentioned except Podolski (who's also meant to play upfront) has been right footed - yet there's no one on the right that is leftfooted - so it's not just prefering 'inward' strikers.


@ Murky- not to disagree but it's always been like that - except for a brief period in the 0´s.

still i find that at least the Premier League is quite boring crowd wise.
Except for Liverpool and maybe a couple of others.
Compared to Germany, italy, the netherlands, spain and (in some cases) even Denmark.
I Think it comes Down to the ticket prices and that stupid rule in some stadiums where you're forced to sit down...

Thinking about it, if we got a world cup im sure Villa and a few other would be gifted some stadium improvements, not to the extent in Germany though

They're mental - in some cases they practically run the clubs
But none the less they're loud as fuck and they definitely help create an atmosphere. Which is nice cause their football is boring as fuck

Not any more, Italian teams have been having real trouble with half empty stadiums in the last few season

that's probably just the gaps between the fans

they're inventive though

Well this was Oldham v Walsall infront of about 4000 so not exactly set up to be a cracking atmosphere but there was a fair amount of singing before some divvy in the oldham rnd started smacking his drum (at least till walsall went one up). Drove me mental.

Of the grounds ive been in the loudest would probably be Boro, sheff utd or Stoke's (though at stoke we had to run and hide in a leisure centre after the match so negative points for that).

Its always better to be in the away end if you want the atmosphere anyway.

Actually I went to a stoke game like 10 years ago with my dad. I'll have to say I was scared as fuck looking at their fans. Big fat bouncer looking guys with no teeth etc

And I'll have to agree re. away ends - thats where the english fans are good. United etc. are a great away crowd. At home they all look suspiciously asian...

Liverpool only create the "famous atmosphere" for champions league games and when Utd come to town. The likes of Newcastle, Sunderland, West Ham make far more noise most weeks

I think overall premier league is pretty good noise wise, aided by the fact its a really well attended league. even somewhere like the emirates, atmosphere aint like highbury, but still with 60k people theres enough people to raise the roof from time to time.
agree Away ends are always lively. Always had a lot more time for afc fans iv met away than at home, proper passionate, loud & optimistic

Can't knock their away fans though, the loudest I've heard at Blues and always travel in huge numbers (no doubt bumped up by local fans though).

Worst away support I've ever seen. Braga in the europa league. 8 fans came.
