those AKGs are sick soundwise, just don't get the black K518s, 2,5m cable is an overkill for portable use + is a reason why my headphones are dead till i find someone who solders on a new jack connector.

Also, depends on a person, but they clamp quite a bit, so you might get sore ears after few hours of listening.

They sound fully sick though, lots of #base, good value for the money

I learned to DJ with a pair of AKG K81, they do clamp a bit, but theyre really nice

oh and they are great for djing, they have this system of swivels and what not so you can rotate them in pretty much every way imaginable

yeah for the money they really are great. only issue is the cable into each side rather than just one.

How was Kuedo?

Was alright, not as good as I was hoping for tho. He leaned a bit too much towards the trappy hip-hop stuff, was hoping for more á la Severant.
Also, I thought he was gonna play a live set but turn out he was just DJing. He did play some sick grime tho and ended on a jungle tip which is always nice.

Visionist was pretty amazing and Holly Herndon was uhh... just sort of weird in a boring kinda way imo. Overall a bit uneven night with some really great high points

Yeah, Holly Herndon is quite like that

It's very much love or hate music. Some of her stuff is outstanding, but some of it is proper too far down the wrong side of weird.

Her whole deal with just breathing into the mic and randomly sample-and-hold'ing some sounds just seemed rather pointless, she could have spent her time better imo by manipulating some of the (sometimes pretty amazing) ambient sounds she had going. There were some good elements in her music, it just seems like she was trying too hard sometimes and ended up being aimlessly and overly artsy for no particular reason
