Oh and i think this is a massive myth- Anfield was like a grave when i went a couple of years ago (admittedly it was v hull but still) .
Can't knock their away fans though, the loudest I've heard at Blues and always travel in huge numbers (no doubt bumped up by local fans though).

Worst away support I've ever seen. Braga in the europa league. 8 fans came. :cornlol:
When LFC came to Boston last summer Fenway was shaking, such an amazing atmosphere and that was just the us fans.

for real though leeds have the best away support, best day out ever was away v port vale when we took over half the stadium- about 7 and a half thousand.

Plus we all travel rather than simply being full up of local glory supporters ie. man u/chelsea. Villa, Everton and Hull have probably been the loudest at elland road that ive seen.

For foreign clubs i dont think away fans is such a big thing, especially southern europe- i mean even el clasico there's normally about 200 away fans there lol.

i was at the pub and some leeds service crew fella was shouting in my ear how good it was away at port vale. he said he had a really good scrap.

I was in a pub in Bradford and the Bradford youth where all aptting each other on the back because they'd stood outside a Leeds pub and not had a fight. Bizarre.

Just catching up on European football lots of good stuff- Aubameyang scored a hatrick on his debut for dortmund (can't believe no english teams went in for him). Made some really good signings this summer to replace gotze, and with Mkhitaryan to come after being injured they could give Bayern a real challenge this year, especially as there are some rumours of discontent with Pep messing about position wise. I think they're mad to get rid of Luis Gustavo but yeah whoever signs him will get a really good player. Also Hertha Berlin won 6-1 against 6th last season frankfurt playing some beautiful stuff, traditional wing play and breaking fast from forced mistakes high up the pitch. Of course its inevitable that they'll probably lose by 6 next game just to even things out. I especially like the 4th goal at 1:45:

It was also good to see PSG unable to win against Montpellier and Monaco not looking too great away at Bordeaux. Meanwhile Lyon looked great and smacked 4 past Nice with a really young talented side. i really hope they and ASSE can keep up and give them a decent fight but its probs unlikely :(.

Dortmund still have a decent team but Bayern are easily the best team in Europe at the moment and they've strengthened even more. Only chance Dortmund have is if Pep has a real shocker and gets sacked half way through the season

yeah and tbh i can see that happening. I'm not sure the players are too impressed with his training and he's been playing lahm in midfield etc. Also, they won everything last year, there's not much int he way of motivation for a lot of them.

Swansea did but yeah...
He's ridiculous... apparently he's faster than Usain Bolt in the first 'quarter' of a 100m run (running with the ball!!!).

Dortmund are such a quality team and have been building on the same squad as long as Bayern. Wouldn't surprise me if they won the bundes again this season.

There's a lot of temperamental players on Bayern that tend to have long periods where they don't maintain their optimum levels.
Like an injury prone Scheinsteiger, batshit Ribery, the impossibly lazy Robben and Neuer that can't shake his dream of playing both sweeper and goalkeaper at the same time.

To be fair I'm faster than Bolt off the line

Finally find a player that would be a perfect fit, player arsenal have needed since song left and even would be better than song, club are willing to sell at affordable price (14-17m), player would like to go to arsenal (quoted in interview this week), yet somehow looks like we might lose out with the player going to Wolfsberg with Arsenal seemingly more interested in pursuing a player for 350% our record transfer bid from a club resolutely not willing to sell, while Tottenham are happily locking down yet more of afc's previous targets (Capoue)....what the fuck is going on

Fans are going to turn on Wenger pretty quick if we lose that early NLD :(

good article on whats been going on in spain over the summer. If it werent for athletic looking good for a top 4 finish i might not bother watching- point tallies are going to be ridiculous

Also- real sociedad v lyon in the champs league, who do i want to win?! Both are great young sides (on balance maybe la real so that lyon can focus on beating psg and monaco)

the situation is so shit
i have seen the last three year how betis has made great seasons and formed a nice team each year but then at the end of the season all the effort was for nothing because all the players had to go out.

Tbh it might be better if barca/real/bayern/psg etc all fucked off to a european superleague and let someone else win.

It's mad how the premiership is the mostcompetetive of the major leagues because there are 3 teams who might win lol
